Absolutely best walking tour you can find! Rob is a great guide who has the best information, jokes and stories about Newcastle. He was so focused on giving us the best introduction and experience of the city that our tour lasted 30mins longer than expected. Would definitely recommend Rob's tour to anyone who is keen to do a walking tour in Newcastle.

We can highly recommend Red Beard Tours , Rob has a love for history and was so generous sharing his knowledge of Newcastle. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and it was a great way to get our bearings before exploring by ourselves. Robs love for the city shone through and we very so pleasantly surprised to learn about Newcastle, a city we new very little about , but we would certainly come back ...such a nice place , with friendly people everywhere.

What a find! Rob is so knowledgeable about the city and its role in the making of the UK. A great jovial host the tour is absolutely fascinating and a lot of fun too! Rob delivers his stories with great aplomb. You'll find history from the neolithic times up to the present day along with many other anecdotes. Do not miss out on this tour!

We booked Red Beard Tours as part of our first day in Newcastle Upon Tyne to get an orientation of this amazing city. We met Rob by the ‘Monument’ to start our tour on a wet Monday in February. He gave us an explanation of the tour and the distance we would be walking. Rob’s knowledge of this city is second to none!! He gave us a pretty detailed overview in roughly 2 1/2 hours about the city and as we walked along it was like we were ‘joining the dots’ so to speak…. The tour finished on the High Level Bridge and was worth every single penny. A well worth tour on a visit to the Toon..

Fantastic what more can I say. Rob has so much historical knowledge to share about our beautiful city. Newcastle has a lot to offer, and this tour is a great way to get your bearings. We were there for 4 days and the tour was our starting point. We got history, pointers for places to visit, and plenty of background information about where we were. Our guide obviously enjoys what he does. He was entertaining and was able to answer our questions as we walked around. Put this tour on the top of your to do list.
