We have just returned from a 3 week bespoke tour arranged by Dan Clarke from RealWorld inc . It was to be a special holiday and was very, very expensive. The holiday was almost completely spoiled by the problem’s getting hold of this agent.Around 4 weeks before travel,we found out the ATOL membership had not been renewed. Couldn’t get hold of him. Emails messages not answered etc.
In panic,we contacted the operator in Chile about our holiday. They came back with a problem that they had not been paid for theirservices and were about to cancel ALL the bookings on the itinerary - wehad paid in full weeks prior to this.
A few days later we were contacted by them .. they had been paid. On checking our itinerary directly with them , discrepancies were found which could not be reconciled - a wine tour that could not take place, an astronomy tour not booked, an early check-in not booked, an upgraded room at a lakeside hotel not booked YET we had paid for all these. Eventually after many phone calls and emails got hold of Dan Clarke. Always a smooth talker etc etc with his reassuring way we did actually manage some refund from him.
We have no complaints about the provider in Chile who are called Southbound their services were great.
Many things about the holiday could have been better planned and a couple of hotels were not of an acceptable standard. This is what you pay a travel advisor for! I wish I had done it myself as I could have done a better job and it would have cost a lot less with much less stress. As it was, we didn’t know what would happen when we got to Santiago ie would anyone be there waiting for us? Would our hotel actually be booked? Would any of the trips take place? As it was, Southbound did a very good job and everything went according to plan on the itinerary they had created.
Dan Clarke told me he was closing his business altogether for personal reasons. If you have any dealings yet to happen with this man act fast. .

SCAM DO NOT USE!!!
They take your money for a deposit of a holiday and cannot be contacted for any kind of follow up. The website is gone and they're no longer on ATOL protected so obviously no longer credible. Avoid at all costs!!!

We had an amazing Peru holiday, possibly the best holiday of my life, organised by Real World Holidays. Rosie (and Dan) created an itinerary to suit us; completely personalised. Every pickup went like clockwork so all the hassle of how are we going to get to eg. the airport etc was removed. They sorted out every ticket that we needed, whether it was machu picchu , or others. Everything was organised before we set foot in Peru. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of not having to organise anything. Choose Rosie and Dan!

We've used Real World holidays for tailored trips to South America twice now and each time they've produced itineraries which have been tailored to our requirements and aims perfectly. Cant recommend them highly enough if you want a special trip. The personal service from Dan and Rosie has been first class - a small company exceeding expectations.
