Really lovely place to come for a peaceful walk. Parking and a visitor centre with a cafe and toilets which is great when visiting from outside the area. Lovely staff in the cafe.
Walked round the water area which was nice but there were a few people there with dogs and some weren't on leads as it was made clear in signs they should be. The paths around the pond area aren't wide enough to move out the way for large groups so this was awkward at times.

Rainton Meadows- Durham Wildlife Trust
Was absolutely relaxing, i feel so tired now.
I was there with my husband for about an hour and half.
I'm disabled in a wheelchair and the main paths are accessible as the rest of the reserve isn't disabled friendly. The shop, cafe and toilets are disabled friendly.
I didn't go into the cafe as I felt too tired, but will go next time.
A huge range if Wildlife.
There are a few disabled parking bays in front of the cafe/ shop main house.
There are 2 car parks.

A Lovely place for a peaceful walk and to enjoy nature. Well looked after ,with plenty of wildlife and nice paths to explore. perfect for some quiet time outdoors.

Excellent day out at this gorgeous nature reserve. Lots of lovely walks, and many of them are buggy-friendly. Nice little cafe too, serving hot and cold drinks and sandwiches.

Great place to go in all weather! Wonderful little cafe, natural playground. Its our favourite outdoor venue.
The only negative is the gift shop only accepts card payments, which is a shame. They have some lovely things for all ages. Fortunately my 5yr old listens to the importance of KEEPING CASH ALIVE👊, and understands that although we could choose many items to buy. We shan't!!

Other than that, great place to visit😊

I'm fortunate to live nearby so down here with my dog most days. Lovely reserve, well kept, plenty of wildlife and birds to see, volunteer rangers are very helpful if you need to ask anything.

Met up with some friends here! We had an absolute blast. So much nature to see! The ducks and swans were also lovely, if you find yourself in the area, give this lovely nature reserve a visit
