What a brilliant way to spend a Saturday. I can’t quite believe that over the course of one day I was able to weave a scarf. The team at Radical Weavers are so patient and so encouraging that they make the whole day a joy. Plus, hearing about the background to who the original radical weavers were was fascinating and finding out that you are supporting a social enterprise by attending the workshop made the day even more meaningful. Would highly recommend!

Very enjoyable day spent learning how to weave a scarf. Our tutor, Peter, was patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. I can highly recommend this workshop as a way to get an insight into a new skill and get a really worthwhile item at the end of it.

Had a great day making my scarf. Went with a friend who also enjoyed it. 6 people in a class and a couple of people helping so anytime you had a question or good stuck doing a task they were there to help quickly. Would recommend.

My mum and I attended a full day workshop to weave our own tartan scarf, which was an absolutely fantastic experience! Peter, Mairi and Sophie were all so knowledgeable and helpful, guiding everyone through the weaving process and explaining the history behind the craft! Getting to pick your colours from a wide variety of yarns was also a bonus! Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits were provided and there are loads of little cafes for lunch in the town or you can bring your own! We are both absolutely thrilled with our finished scarfs!

We would like to say thank you again to everyone involved in the workshop and give a particular shout-out to Peter, who stayed on a bit later to allow us to complete our scarfs as we ran out of time towards the end! Would definitely recommend and will likely return in the future to another workshop and support this amazing charity!

P.S, the exhibition on display is brilliant and the gift shop has loads of tartan items available to purchase, which are so unique, made in house one of a kind

My partner and I did the 1-hour tartan weaving tasting workshop, and it was great. Peter was really fun to chat with, we learned a lot about tartans (and animals!), and we got to make a small tartan sample. The shop has hand-made product from local weavers. Highly recommend.

What a marvellous experience creating our very bespoke tartan today. Both Marie and Peter were excellent tutors and made us feel very at ease with our ideas. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Fabulous day out

Fantastic workshop! learnt so much, a lot of which was not about weaving. Came away with a fantastic scarf and having been bitten by the weaving bug. Peter was great as an instructor and the fabrics that are being produced there are mind blowing. Great place, Great Mission.

I attended a course to weave a scarf, and I loved it! Peter taught the class and he was very knowledgeable, never rushed us and was always happy to repeat a step if need be.
It was a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it.
