STAY CLEAR!!! Worse agency in Cardiff, we went over 2 weeks without ovens, had a leaking ceiling, whole bottom floor flooded when it heavy rained, broken blinds which made using the downstairs toilet impossible, the property was filthy when we moved in (someone’s used plate was left, dirty toilet brushes, mouldy food in the fridge)- we asked for them to clean it over 4 times which resulted in the cleaners angrily sending us voice notes 🤣🤣🤣. We then had a rat infestation where the property managers were useless and would take weeks to fill the entry hole and therefore the rat issue worsened to the point one room was completely unlivable from the stent and the noise of growling rats, all of which the agency was aware of. Halfway through the tenancy we had
to get legal aid to help us, which only made the agency fix the issues we had at the time. We then had a shower door corrode and break to which we alarmed them about- SHOCKER, but they didn’t fix it, then the shower head corroded and fell on someone’s head, we told them about it- they took over a month to sort someone to come and look- confirmed that this wouldn’t come out of our deposit, as they didn’t fix it in time. And after all of these issues and more THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE £877 OF OUR DEPOSIT?!?!? For the shower and the blinds WHICH WERE LIKE THAT WHEN WE MOVED IN!!! We’ve sent them the evidence of this (pictures, messages of us complaining about it in the beginning) we tried to arrange several meetings and they said it’s out of their hands 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Honestly when I first looked at this agency and saw all the bad reviews, I thought I’d ignore it and hope for the best, but I regret it massively, as we have had the most frustrating year living in a disgusting house, and are now being robbed of £877 for things that we didn’t do.

Genuinely go for anywhere else in Cardiff and save yourself from being in our shoes.

A Nightmare Year with Property Direct.

Rented a student house with this company and it was a headache since day 1. The property was DISGUSTING when we moved in, we ended up cleaning the bulk of it ourselves as they didn't listen when it was made apparent that the cleaners they sent were not doing there job properly after 3 attempts and it still being vile. Multiple issues with floods, rats, no ovens for 2 weeks. All of these issues were handled poorly, with inexperienced contractors. (the flood was half mopped up, and not attempt to find the cause was made as it was 'too big of a job') the rat holes were not filled for weeks making the problem worse. These are just a couple of the tens of issues including electric and heating issues. The house was in terrible condition when we moved in also as it was in disrepair and things that we were told would be fixed were not!

On top of this, they are trying to TAKE OUR DEPOSIT, the are charging us over £800 for issues that were present before we moved in and they did not fix! Even though they were aware of them.

Stay clear and do not use this agency!

Terrible agency, do not recommend at all.

Throughout our one year tenancy, we encountered rats, flooding, electrical faults (persistent tripping), a month without ovens and more.
Despite the long list of poorly handled issues, Property Direct still had the gall to take a severe chunk from our deposit when leaving over issues that had been agreed will not affect said deposit/were present when moving in.
