Quiet spot just off the A47. No facilities, but a nice walk. Bird observatory at the end of the path near the car park

Nice place to take your dogs out for a walk. Spot for photography lovers with proximity to the swing bridge. Unfortunately partially because there is no rubbish bins place is full of rubbish left behind by the picnic enthusiasts. Used to be nice busy port, unfortunately lately only scrap metal being stored at the port.

Absolute disgrace, locals never wanted a scarp yard here for this reason. Port workers walking round with the fingers up there bums, shouldn't a working port have fire hoses for fires? Time we had this cowboys out

Spent an hour or so watching 2 ships - one being unloaded and one loaded. I find it fascinating and you can Google the ships names to get information about them. HOWEVER we go quite often and it isn't always as busy as this so its pot luck. We like to buy fish and chips and park the car on the opposite bank of the river.

We enjoyed our walk by the river in the autumn sunshine with a beautiful sky.We watched the birds, and stopped to look at a family heard of cattle who became interested in us. I do no know what breed they were, as they were an unusual colour..

Wonderful little place. The Swing Bridge is very impressive to see in operation. There a good walk out past the twin Lighthouses. Friendly people here. Well worth a visit.
