Glacier Express and Scenic Switzerland
I booked this for my husband’s birthday in February. From booking to the itinerary to arriving back to the UK it was 5*.
It was by far the best trip we have ever take!
We were even notified my phone to let us know we would have a slight delay on our Eurostar return
I would definitely book another trip with Planet Rail!

Our holiday in Platja d'Aro, Spain was our third trip booked with Planet Rail. Previously we've been to Rome and Venice. The holidays are booked with detail by the very friendly and helpful staff at Planet Rail, with all train, taxi & hotels all organised. The First Class rail travel is very good where the journey to your destination actually becomes an enjoyable part of the holiday, rather than something to just endure. Sit back relax, read a book, listen to a podcast or just stare out of the train window and enjoy the scenery. It really is a delightful way to travel. All the hotels have been well located and very nice places to stay. I would have no hesitation in recommended Planet Rail. In fact I've just booked a trip to Florence with them. Thank you Planet Rail.

I would like to highly recommend Planet Rail. Guy and his team recently organised a trip for my my daughter and I on the Orient Express to Venice and Switzerland. From our experience I would 100% recommend Planet Rail. We travelled as a party of four on the Glacier Express and Scenic Switzerland by First Class rail package. After comparing a few companies offering comparable holidays, I chose planet rail because they offered first class travel at a price equivalent or even lower than many others offering second class travel. Planet rail booked everything around our preferred dates and other than a strike by the German train drivers, every connection, booked seats and hotels were all to an excellent standard and worked well. The customer care from Planet Rail was exemplary! Whilst enjoying the stunning views from the Bernina Express I received a phone call from Guy, informing me that Planet Rail had become aware that the German train drivers had announced a short notice 48 hour strike which would seriously hinder our planned journey home via Cologne and Brussels. With our go ahead and without disrupting our holiday, he was able to re-book us to return home via a night stop in Basel and the Eurostar from Paris instead of via Brussels. They even arranged a taxi transfer in Paris. As it turned out, we really enjoyed Basel, so the sudden change of plan was enjoyable and not at all onerous. So thanks again Guy and Planet Rail for an outstanding, thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

We have recently returned from an amazing holiday arranged by Planet rail to Montreux then Venice and back to London on the Orient express.
Everything went perfectly, the timings between the trains was just right not too much waiting about but enough time if there had been any delays. The trains were clean and our allocated seats were really good. The hotels in both Montreux and Venice were excellent and in perfect locations. The orient express from pick up at our hotel to arriving back in London was amazing we were treated so well.
Every member of staff that we have had contact with at Planet rail has been courteous, professional and knowledgeable.  We cannot recommend this company enough and will definitely be booking again with them in the future.

We have just returned from a wonderful city break to Amsterdam travelling on Eurostar. From our first contact with Planet Rail the service has been faultless. They provided the perfect city break in a lovely hotel which was in a perfect location to explore Amsterdam. The standard premier seats on Eurostar were perfect, with food and drinks included. The train tickets, hotel voucher and clear instructions were emailed to us a couple of weeks before departure. We would definitely recommend Planet Rail and will be booking with them again.

We have just returned from Venice and we were privileged to be able to stay at the Cipriani Hotel and then travel back to the UK in a Grand Suite on the VSOE.
