I've organised a number of driving tours myself for groups, and it ends up being more like work than a holiday! So I reached out to PetrolHead Tours last year and did a Norway tour with them. I was SO impressed I immediately booked another to Spain/Pyrenees and am just back - what a fantastic tour.

If you love great roads, good friendly groups of people, fun cars, nice food, lovely hotels and great hosts / leaders then Petrolhead tours are for you. We did most of the driving but some days enjoyed just getting back to the hotel post lunch for some Sangria and swimming, whilst it is a great group vibe because you have your own pre-programmed sat-nav you can choose to do your own thing when suits.

The organisation is truly 1st class and nothing is too much trouble for the organisers. Don't waste time looking at doing this stuff yourself, use PHT you'll never look back.

I was on the Alps/Pyrenees tour over eight days and had the most incredible time. Everything went smoothly which is really the key to this sort of tour. You really can't afford to have anything left to chance and that is where the experience and attention to detail that Pete & Dan apply is critical. That really shone through in all aspects of the tour. The route was superb, the food and accommodation and also crucially the driving standards which Pete and Dan insist upon was of the highest standard.
I would also make special mention that as a "newbie" on the tour it was impressive how Pete & Dan always made me feel they had time to answer questions and to make me feel always fully up to speed (!) from day one with everything that was going on. Just as any great host would do, they have fully mastered the skill of making everyone feel valued and that nothing is too much trouble.
Taking part in this tour was one of the greatest experiences of my life and i am so excited about the prospect of taking part in more tours going forward. Big thanks to Pete & Dan, you guys really deserve all the praise you get and some!

I have been lucky enough to do 4 Petrolhead tours over the past 24 months, you could say I have an addiction, but to me they're the absolute ultimate holiday! I have been on hundreds of amazing road adventures in my adult life, I even did the Gumball 3000 in 2016, these trips are miles better for someone who actually likes to drive... Pete and Dan cater for proper petrol heads, day after day off the best driving roads on this planet, everything is taking care of, you just need to wake up and drive until sunset day after day... I have just returned from their Spanish Safari trip and currently have serious holiday blues 🙁 On top of all the driving, I have made some amazing fellow minded friends for life, these trips bring people from all walks of life together in harmony for the best times of their lives! Now I need to get my head down and start saving for my next PHT in 2020... Thanks guys x

One of the best experiences and trips I have done. As my first tour, I was a little nervous and anxious but as soon as we met the group for the first evening, I instantly felt settled and at ease. The people on tour were great, the mix of cars added to the excitement and fun each day and the services of Pete and Dan were top class (couldn’t fault a thing)! Hotels were great as was the food.

I would highly recommend to anyone who is a petrol head and who may be contemplating whether to book on or not. This will certainly not be my only petrol head tour and I look forward to the opportunity of attending another tour in the future. Thank you Pete, Dan and the Scotland 2023 group!

I’m what you would call a ‘veteran’ of these tours.. I now have 6 under my belt having just returned from their Alps Pyrenees 2019 Tour..?The fact that this is my 6th tour speaks volumes for itself.. It’s simple,if you like / love driving,you WILL adore a Petrolhead Tour,Guaranteed!! What makes these Tours so special? EVERYTHING..
The Beautiful Scenery.. The Amazing Roads..The Camaraderie & Banter of your fellow Petrolheads.. The Professionalism of Pete & Dan.. The Back Up of Pete & Dan..The Hotels.. The Food.. The Coffee Stops.. The Not HavingTo Put Big Naff Promotional Stickers All Over Your Pride & Joy..The fact you don’t have to drive a Supercar or even a Sportscar to enjoy this.. I’ve seen an e46 330D BMW, a Suzuki Swift (yes you read that correctly) & a Mk1 Integra Type R right upto a Lamborghini Hurracan & a McClaren 650S Spider..
It’s Something To Look Forward To Every Year..
If you come on / experience 1,you will be looking to book another 1 before the 1 your actually on finishes,without a shadow of a doubt.. I think I can safely say that the majority of the business is ‘repeat’ business.. That alone,speaks volumes.. I’ve just come back from The Alps n Pyrenees Tour And am already eyeing up 2 Tours for next year..

I watched the various YouTube reviews for Petrolhead tours and decided to book a place on the ‘22 Scotland tour. I was a tad nervous. Would my car be up to it? – would I be up to it? I really needn’t have worried as I had a fantastic week. The roads and scenery were simply epic and Pete and Dan, the tour leaders, were totally professional. Everyone on the tour was so friendly and welcoming to those of us who had never been on a tour before. The whole week was pretty much perfect really, fantastic driving in the day followed by great conversation in the evening over drinks and dinner.
I’ve already put my name down for Spain ’23!

As you'll see from my profile, I'm not an avid review writer (this is my first ever!). But, having just spent a week with Pete & Dan, the least I owe them is to share how much of a fantastic an experience I had. From my initial inquiry to the very last moment we parted company at Portsmouth, Pete and Dan made the whole experience seamless. The roads, hotels and general level of planning that went into this trip were outstanding! Not to mention that you meet like-minded people who quickly become friends. If you want to drive the best roads, stay in great hotels and have fun with fantastic people, then these are the tours for you!
