I stayed here whilst walking Offa's Dyke Path (perfect for the Pandy stop) and absolutely loved it.

The room was spacious, clean and homely with a really comfortable bed and some great extra touches for a hiker e.g. shampoo/conditioner/body lotion in the room, dark face cloths for make up removal, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. But the best bit of all was the fresh cake on arrival, kept cool in the fridge after a blisteringly hot day!
All followed up with a tasty cooked breakfast in the morning.

The Skirrid Inn is just next door for dinner if needed, and a great local garage carries freshly made sandwiches and all the snacks to set you up for the next day's walk.

I would love to stay again!

What a wonderful place to stay, nothing was to much trouble. Pen y Dre is in an excellent location and I can not reccomend the genuine, friendly welcome more highly. Everything is easy and well thought out.

Warm family (and dog) welcome to homely and traditional B&B rooms. One of the hands down best English (Welsh) breakfasts in the house kitchen. 10/10. Very close to Skirrid Inn and Offa’s Dyke Path. Recommended.

Oh, we had the absolute pleasure of booking through Airbnb! The photos were just marvelous, giving a flawless impression. But oh, what a delightful surprise awaited us with everything not captured in those stunning shots.||First off, they had the charming addition of a baby gate, which was perfect since we definitely didn’t travel with any children. We tripped over it so many times that we practically performed a dance routine! When we politely asked the host to remove this lovely obstacle, he was just so warm and welcoming about our request.||And let’s talk about the bathroom—what an artistic display of exposed areas! The shower pressure was so minimal it could have doubled as a gentle misting system, and getting the water to a comfortable temperature was like trying to crack a secret code. Clearly, they put in a lot of effort into that renovation, and boy, did it show (not!).||Oh, and the duvets! Thick and heavy—just what you want in the sweltering summer heat! Who doesn’t love waking up in a sauna? And a door leading outside in the bedroom? Genius design choice!||The outdoor grill was another wonderful highlight of our stay. We bravely attempted to use it, only to have our cozy Airbnb transformed into a smoke-filled chamber of despair. Nothing says gourmet meal like oven-cooked food after a failed BBQ adventure!||The entrance stairs were like a thrilling amusement park ride—rickety and perfect for anyone seeking a bit of excitement and danger. ||And let’s not forget the magical animal viewing area! Ducks, pigs, llamas, chickens, guinea pigs, and rabbits galore! But a word of caution: apparently, llamas are deadly. One male llama took it upon himself to greet us with a surprise spit directly to the face. How thoughtful!||The hammocks were a lovely touch, too—right in the middle of what can only be described as a delightful pet waste area. Nothing enhances relaxation quite like a soft bed of animal feces under your lounging spot.||And the pièce de résistance? The nightly serenade! Each evening at 10:30 PM, the female host would grace us with her presence to retrieve the dogs, providing us with a beautiful rendition of barking and her delightfully patient yet incessant yelling. A true gift that kept on giving for at least 20 minutes! What a treat!

Had really high expectations of this campsite from the photos & reviews of the holiday cottages. I should have known there was a reason for there being no pictures of camping field. |First of all it is between 2 roads one being a very busy road, no mention of this, secondly very small amount of space for visiting campers as most of it taken up by various ramshackle resident caravans and awning sheds & chicken coops, & residents cars, again not mentioned that it is primarily a residential site. |Toilet & shower block was disgustingly dirty no toilet roll & horrific toilet brushes & no light in one toilet, dirty floors and shoe marks on toilet seat. No hot water to wash hands no hand towels or drier. Showers were literally behind a shower curtain again dirty & full of cobwebs so old even the spiders had moved out. |Glad we were self contained & did not have to use the facilities. We were going to stay 2 night but swiftly decided 1 would be enough as we had an event to attend. Should be kept for residents only. Cheaper much much nicer sites within a few miles of the village. I do not like leaving bad reviews but can only be honest in my findings.

This is a nice location and the idea of animals around the cottage is very nice one. However, the cottage was very dirty, with dark carpets stained with mud, piles of dust and hair and dog hair from the previous guests never vacuumed, mould in the bathroom dried old plants in the pot and dirty kitchen appliances. This was really unpleasant experience to be there with two kids who touch everything that has not been washed for a long time. Also the place hasn’t been modernised for a long time and it really would make a difference to have doors to bathroom that don’t fall on the ground making horrible noise when trying to close, or at least a gravel in front of the house so that you don’t step directly into the mud. We left one day earlier than planned.

I rang desperate for accommodation and they very kindly squeezed us in. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of variety and the eggs golden. The cottage we stayed in had everything we needed and more. Had a good night's sleep, it was very quiet. Lovely welcome with milk, tea and coffee plus homemade cake. Lovely outside area to sit with lots of animals to see. Thank you.

Stayed 2 nights. Loved the setting. The host was lovely with loads of animals wandering around, including a pet lamb. Accomodation was really quaint with everything we needed. The complimentary cake was very welcome. Would definitely recommend.
