Departing from Gills Bay arriving at St Maragret's Hope 1 hour later - Great trip, clean ship, very efficient embarking and disembarking process (takes minutes). Snacks on board are good value for money and just the ticket for an early start.Would definitely use a again and would recommend that you find out how to disable your car alarm before your board the ferry

Fantastic service on the Alfred crossing from Troon to Brodick on 19 May at 12.45pm. I was taking my Mum home to Arran after her foot operation. 2 crew members were amazingly helpful, using an electric chair to safely move her downstairs. Thank you so much. Also, this boat is super clean and has a great layout!

A great company to travel with. Very efficient and friendly loading staff, great shop for food (and local ice-cream) with very reasonable prices. Beautiful scenery, unfortunately spoilt by annoying car-alarms.

Lovely, scenic crossing. Quick to board and disembark. Small cafeteria and lounge, but try to site upstairs and outside for the views.

Great way to get to Orkney, fast , efficient and when it goes wrong with the weather Pentland ferries do their upmost to keep running! Be prepared for weather related issues and alternative schedules occasionally. Staff are friendly, food on the Pentilina is limited, but good . Great crossing, sometimes bumpy and wild.

First time using this ferry service (well, any ferry service!) and I Was happy with the efficiency of the staff getting the cars on and off. We took 2 nice cars and they made it both to and from Orkney with no dinks, so in my world thats an A* service 😀 One particular chap on the staff recognised us on the way back, and was very friendly and helpful, even having a joke with us when one of our vehicles decided to have a funny 5 minutes after its ferry trip! 😉
On a lovely day, cracking views on the upper deck, on a not so nice day, lots of seating below. There was a cafe which did a few snacky bits and pieces. The card machine declined my card (due to lack of signal) and the chap serving kindly offered to just come and find me when the queue died down - and we had better signal for the reader by this point.
