Super breakfast, everything you can want! We called in to thank Penny for there outside catering for our Daughters wake having lost her a few short weeks before, we expected over 200 people, and we had that and more!
We asked them to cater for 150, the food was amazing and so much of it! People had full bellys and we still had a Hugh amount left over, so we asked all the guests to take some home and after all that we still had food enough for two days later! What an amazing job she did for us! We can't thank them enough! So having called in to thank them for that we just had to have a breakfast and that too was super! Without a doubt in our minds we will use them again for any future outdoor catering we require! Everything was outstanding for sure!
Should you want to eat a breakfast inthe dafe, I can heartily recommend the deli breakfast! Simply superb!

Penny catered for our daughter and future son in laws engagement party. There were so many choices available and such a large amount made per guest. The buffet went down a treat and there was enough left for guests to take some back. Guests commented on how tasty the food was. Glad I chose Pennys for the catering. You won't be disappointed with the amount and the selections.

popped in for some lunch in between jobs and had some proper nice homemade grub! they had a lovely looking range of desserts as well but unfortunately i didn't have time to try one. also, i didn't go out back but it sounds like they have a really nice dining area out there for a sunny day. if i was local, i'd be here all the time.

Nice little friendly cafe, enjoyable food, I had the breakfast stuffer! And it certainly was, nice tea in the pot with enough for two and a half cups lol, pleasant atmosphere with approachable and friendly staff, as a visitor and non local I enjoyed it!

I was looking for a specialist cake maker in the Sherburn area online and noted that Pennys cafe also baked special events cakes to order.
Being a man and leaving things to the last minute I called into the cafe and spoke to Penny who offered suggestions and ideas of what she could create at this late stage.
Penny pulled out all the stops baking a delicious fresh strawberry Naked cake for my sons birthday.
It got lots of comments on it's fab looks and how light and tasty it was.
I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a special cake to come visit Pennys cafe and coffee shop.

Lovely cafe, we go here almost weekly now. We have tried many cafes in the area whilst we wait for our youngest to do her gymnastics. (2 hours to kill).
We've tried the more upmarket ones. The smaller cosy ones. The portacabin ones. The ones in garden centres. There are many around Sherburn to try.
However, this one beats the lot.
Food spot on.
Service is amazing, staff friendly, and chatty and always willing to help.
The outdoor seating hidden in the back is quiet and secluded. When we take our dog, we sit in the garden or just on a nice warm day.
I can not recommend this place enough.
Honest, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
