Pleasantly surprised by our experience at Swansea’s Penderyn Distillery!
Francesca was such a fantastic and funny guide with a lot of knowledge. We completed the masterclass which, even for someone who doesn’t care too much about whisky, was really interesting and quite fun. Like others have said, you get A LOT of chances to taste different things, so eat well before you go and enjoy! The shop is varied and we had the pleasure of bottling our own whisky, too - an unexpected but memorable moment.
I highly recommend for those who are super fans, going with friends/family, or just wanting to try something new🌟

An awesome time at Penderyn Distillery this afternoon for a Masterclass with Lauren. Her knowledge and passion for this amazing locally made spirit is phenomenal 🙌
We had a good selection of whisky to sample and learnt a lot about the process. The tour of the Distilling floor was insightful and very enjoyable. The Masterclass room is modern and very stylish, the whole facility is just epic! All staff are really helpful and hats off to Lauren for her enthusiasm. We all had a great afternoon! Until the next time 🥃😊

If you like whiskey, this is a perfect place to visit. It's one of three distilleries making the only Welsh whiskey in the world. It's very cool to see what they've done with the place and the story behind it is very intriguing. It has a beautiful shop. It's a bit bigger than the original Penderyn distillery but still very compact, which makes it stand out even more from other distilleries. The people there are very nice and friendly. If you want to visit this distillery then consider visiting the original as well.

A lovely experience, tour guide was very informative and passionate about his job .
Booked it for my daughters birthday today.
The end of the tour was exceptionally nice and the tasters was plentiful and tasty lol
The shop was plentiful with different produce from different places as well as made in Penderyn itself.

Attended the masterclass for my Grandfathers birthday.
Was expecting just a quick tour with a sample of some whisky, but what we got was far more!

First of all, I booked the wrong voucher for the other distillery, but they were very helpful on the phone and changed it over. No problem at all.
My grandfather requires a wheelchair and the distillery is all accessible so he had no problems getting him around ( it was quite useful as he wouldn't be able to stand after the amount of whiskys we had)

Stated the masterclass with some coffee and wleshcakes and a quick social chat with the others on the course, we only had 2 others that joined us, so it was a very intimate workshop.

I won't spoil it by telling you about all the things we did, but we had far more whisky than I thought and had a tour that was very informative and interesting, followed by a few more whiskys. I know why they recommend not driving after it now, I fortunately had my brother who was not drinking to chauffer us.

Stella was our guide, and she clearly had loads of knowledge and was just a very nice person to be around. She always made sure to keep my grandfather at bay and knew how to make him laugh.

Absolute 5 * experience and will have to look at doing another one at one of the other distillerys

Went on the Distillery tour today with my husband. Turned out we were the only people for that time slot.
The distillery is still being finished at this time, so we got to see them putting the finishing touches on the equipment, prior to the launch in a few weeks.
The tour was very informative, not just of the process of making whisky, but also of the history of the land and copper works.
Francesca was a fantastic guide, with a huge wealth of knowledge.
We throughly enjoyed every second. Especially the tasting at the end!
We will definitely be back to do the masterclass once it's all up and operational.
Can't recommend it highly enough.

My dad and I were gifted tickets to the masterclass, which was nothing short of amazing. Neither of us drink whisky, but there was so much to this experience, from the history to the tasting and whole distilling process.

I cannot recommend this enough if you're looking for an afternoon out!

Stella hosted our masterclass, and she is a credit to the company, we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back!
