An excellent morning Ghyll Scrambling with Heather. The whole outfit is very professional, equipment in great condition, relaxed but safe approach and above all great fun. Our 11 year old son and his friends thought it was an awesome adventure. Wetsuits made it warm enough even in November. Certainly an activity and company to be recommended. Tim

Loved our family dark skies canoeing adventure with Path to Adventure. Al and Heather are excellent guides (who even made sure the clouds parted at just the right moment for us to see the stars)! The kids loved having hot chocolate and marshmallows on ‘Wildcat’
Island! The lake is stunning and so peaceful at night. Gives a completely different perspective to Lake District exploring. Highly recommended!

My husband and I did a few different adventures with Path to Adventure: the dark sky canoeing, abseiling, scrambling & canyoning and found Al and Heather to be the most loveliest hosts.
For the dark sky canoeing their knowledge for not only canoeing but of Coniston Water and the little island called Peel Island, and the stars above was a treat. They even surprised the children with an adventurous island night walk with hot cocoa and scrumptious marshmallows.
For the abseiling, we got the pleasure of doing 2 different challenging heights in a gorgeous old quarry mining area. Just amazing for photos!
For scrambling/canyoning that certainly challenged us both physically and mentally climbing thru fresh cool waters looking for that next amazing waterfall and where we might get a chance to jump off into a pool of water. Thrilling experience really for any age! We highly recommend Path to Adventure for singles, couples & families of any age & capability as the team are able to readily accommodate any level of strength, ability or bravery.

Our family of four recently took part in Ghyll scrambling, Heather was our guide who was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable which made our young girls feel comfortable enough to enjoy this experience safely. We are looking forward to experiencing the other scrambles in the future. Thank you Heather 🙂

This experience was worth every penny and more!
I looked at a few sites before choosing Path to adventure, but after researching the website a little and calling them to speak to them personally I could tell they were the best choice, and we weren’t disappointed.
Our guide Al was reassuring, funny, great company and part of our experience. He engaged us all as we had mixed abilities and no one was left out of the adventure. My older son (16) got the thrill seeking he hoped for and my younger son (13) felt the fun and challenge at the right level of ability for him. Al took the time to include and support us all.
I was incredibly Nervous but I would say for anyone doubting if they can do this, do it! You will feel amazing and so proud! You’ll be supported all the way. The equipment is well fitted and sufficient for all you need, I get cold but the wetsuits are good quality and I didn’t feel the water temperature was a problem at all.
Thank you for this amazing family experience Path to adventure, myself (46) , Becky (34) Tom and William will definitely be back for more!
Highly highly recommend!

My wife, 2 daughters 9 and 12 went ghyll scrambling in nether beck. Scott was our instructor and it was absolutely amazing. The girls loved it especially the huge jump at the end (I was more scared than I let on). Great communication before and after with fantastic photos. Thoroughly recommend path to adventure.
