On Saturday, we visited Palmers with a genuine interest in purchasing a Nissan X-Trail, despite noting some significant staining on the seats and a strong smell inside the vehicle.

We hoped to discuss pricing for the X-Trail and obtain a valuation for our part exchange. However, we found the sales process challenging. The salesman, Daniel, was reluctant to provide a part exchange quote without first knowing offers from other dealerships. Furthermore, when he inquired what he could "do to stop us going anywhere else," it appeared there was little flexibility on the asking price for the X-Trail, even though it seemed he was keen to sell the vehicle.

When Daniel eventually provided a part exchange valuation, it was significantly lower than other quotes we had received elsewhere. Unfortunately, there was no openness to negotiate on the X-Trail's price, despite his earlier question about securing our immediate purchase.

Regrettably, this experience led us to purchase a vehicle from another dealership. We hope this feedback is helpful for future customer interactions.
