We have just returned from our fourth or fifth visit to Kingfisher Cottage. It is a perfect cottage to spend a week in Padstow being an easy stroll into the main harbour but tucked away in the quiet back streets of the old town. As ever, the cottage was immaculate and with all the necessary things for a comfortable self-catering stay and more. Booking was easy and the Padstow Cottage Company team are very efficient and friendly.

We stayed at Clent House in Padstow and loved it. It was very clean and had excellent parking within walking distance to Padstow harbour and restaurants - from the back and front entrances of the house. We found Padstow Cottage Company very helpful with a query we had and would happily use them again. We had very enjoyable meals at Caffe Rojano in Padstow and The Mariners in Rock, both owned by Paul Ainsworth; we visited Rick Stein's St Petroc's Bistro and had a lovely evening. We would definitely return to Clent House should we stay at Padstow again.

Just had a stay for the second time in one of the cornish cottage companies properties
The cottage was lovely and clean and very well equipped with everything we needed.
The team were also easy to contact if we needed them.

Stayed in Ide Cottage August ‘24. Right in the middle of old town, this cottage has great facilities and is really comfortable.
Would stay there again.

We recently used this company to book Harbour view, a self catering house in Oak Terrace that sleeps 8.

The company do not answer calls, there is only a mobile phone number provided. All is done by email, which was daunting at first considering their were no reviews on the property we booked.

Despite all of this, we would use padstow cottage company again. It was worth the gamble not using them before, we couldn’t have got a better host! The owner of Harbour view looked after our every need which made our stay that much special.

Couple of things about the stay I would point out was the property is difficult to find we arrived in the dark we found the property poorly sign posted. Oak Terrace is located down a pedestrian lane and not lit during the night nor is St Saviours Lane. I think the owners should consider providing a idiot proof map to the property from when one enters Padstow especially in the winter seasons for guest trying to locate the houses or groups that arrive late.

The house is on a steep hill with no parking outside the property so it was a challenge for us with two people in our group with mobility needs and for people with young children. So this requires a bit of planning, logistically for my partner to drop off at the property and park the car and fetch the car.

Lastly the house is quaint 3 storey cottage. Cosy and very bright! Extra bonus of underfloor heating. We loved it. Disappointingly the hedge wasn’t cut back so we didn’t get the harbour view from the patio as described. The issue with two rooms in the Garrett had very narrow steep stairs and difficult to climb with head restrictions over two of the beds, we had to be careful not to bang our heads so only ideal for short people or young teenagers.

5 Stars for Kingfisher Cottage, Padstow, an excellent 3 bed cottage with off road parking for 2 cars in the best part of Padstow, just up from all the bars, shops and restaurants. It is equipped to a very high standard and has a light, modern style. We had a great stay there.

We stayed at Mally Moo. Very disappointing and definitely not 5* Gold. The property is not properly maintained. The second bedroom is extremely dark and with it's en-suite, they are very dated. A very good location and parking is a bonus but eliminates any kind of patio area. TV old and cracked. No extra special qualities.
