Truly worthy of a 5 star review! We had such a fantastic, family-friendly experience with Paddle West! Despite the light drizzle, the team—Graham, Sam, and their lovely third instructor—made sure we had a safe, manageable, and thoroughly enjoyable route. Their planning was spot on, from the clear location instructions at the start to how we wrapped up at the end.

A real highlight was getting to try canoe sailing, which our kids absolutely loved! They also took plenty of great photos for us and made sure we were all comfortable throughout. What really stood out was how they took the time to share little stories about the local wildlife and sights along the way—you could truly feel their passion and knowledge.

It was the perfect mix of gentle adventure, learning, and fun. Highly recommend Paddle West for families looking to do something special outdoors!

We had a go after staff said good morning and asked if we were on holiday,

£15 for 30mins it was quite to so we weren't rushed either which was really nice, the boats are in really good condition and the lake is clean and beautiful, with good views of the bridge, castle and wildlife.

There is also an option of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards.

There staff are so friendly, knowledgeable about the area and water sports and passionate about what they do and the company they work for to which they spoke very highly about, they really seemed to enjoy what they did which in return made us smile and happy to support a local company and couple of local lads by having a go on the rowing boats.

One of the lads also came out to check we where OK when we went to the far part of the lake and went put of sight.

Very professional, very good staff who are an asset to the company, absolutely recommend.

Hired a rowing boat yesterday, the young lads were packing up as the weather was a bit wet but they kindly let us have a go despite this. They wiped the seats for us and were helpful and polite. It had actually stopped raining and we really enjoyed a gentle row round the castle, the dog seemed to really enjoy it too. Would recommend and £15 for half an hour which we thought was very reasonable and plenty enough time.

We were booked to do paddle boarding here. I decided to have a go on a rowing boat so I could take photos. Two of us went paddleboarding. So we arrived got two PBs and a rowing boat. We were in the moat of Pembroke Castle. It went part way around the castle. We were joined along the way buy two adult swans and four grown baby signets which was a wow!. We arrived back in after a great time. I had had enough rowing so I stopped. After paddle boarding we were offered a go on the kayaks as it wasn't busy today so we had a go on these two. What a great time. The guys were greatly helpful and when paddleboarding they operated a safety escort in a kayak not to close but good for confidence and safety. I recommend Paddle West Castle Row Boats Pembroke totally! We had a great time thank you.

Amazing time!!! Super fun adventure, great organisation, safe, moderate in intensity with beautiful views and great companion. I took my dog who loved the kayaking. We will definately be back!

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful views of the castle whilst having fun. The guy who runs it is very friendly and gave us lots of ideas on things to do in Wales. Only £10 a boat! Cannot complain!

Thanks to the lads at paddle west again. This time we hired the tow boat by Pembroke castle. Top service as per usual would highly recommend 🚣‍♂️👍

Hired a rowing boat and it was lovely to be rowed around Pembroke mill pond by my husband on a beautiful sunny day. The staff are wonderful, so polite and helpful. Didn’t realise how many fish are in the pond, they were jumping out of the water! Thoroughly recommend this to anyone.
