We have just spent a fabulous few days at this site.. the welcome was lovely and I really couldn’t fault the cleanliness and facilities here, the owners are lovely and helpful and the location was perfect for meeting up with all our family in various other locations.. we will definitely be back.. thank you

What a beautiful site the grounds are immaculate as are the facilities. We stayed 4 nights in our motorhome over the Easter weekend. Checked in and staff were so pleasant and helpful, filled our water tank up with the best powered water hose anywhere we have stayed. 3 toilets and showers in the ladies immaculately clean, always at least 1 toilet and 1 shower available and again tremendous water power- there was a waterproof bag for shoes and a waterproof garment holder provided so your clothing didn’t get splashed when in the shower.|Shown to our pitch and after reading reviews I was holding my breath as we had the ‘dreaded ‘ pitch 13! Yes it’s a small pitch and it’s made quite clear on the website and on booking that you can’t put out a sun canopy or awning on these pitches so not a problem, yes when you initially look at it, it looks like a space on the side of the ‘road’ - calling it a road is overstretching it, it’s a one way loop that probably a maximum of 2 cars and 4 people went past all the time we were there. It’s a really peaceful pitch and on one side you have a lovely view over the fields. We would request pitch 13 when we stay again as thought it was perfect for us so not sure why people have such beef with it!|The electricity was a pre paid card which you loaded onto a metres and it had £5.00 preloaded which you got as part of your booking (we actually were quite looking forward to seeing how much we actually used). The man in reception advised us to use gas for the heating as they’d found that was what used the most electricity, so with using gas for the heating and using everything else on electric hook up (we always boil kettle on gas) we spent a grand total of £3.50 of the £5 that was on the card and got the other £1.50 reimbursed when we left so would definitely choose this option now if it was available at any site.|Thornton le Dale is just picture postcard beautiful and is a 10 minute walk you’ve got 2 pubs, chip shop, pizza takeaway and the best ice cream shop I’ve been to.|Overbrook we will definitely be back sooner rather than later.

This is our second time at the campsite. It’s a great site for Thornton-Le-Dale and around beautiful countryside. Facilities are very clean and a well kept site. We did the Thornton -Le- Dale to Pickering loop with a great mix of sights and terrain’s. Muddy in parts. Lovely local fish and chips and nice cafe’s and pubs nearby. Would definitely return.

Just returned from Overbrook having spent a fantastic 7 days. This is our 3rd stay here and certainly will not be our last.
Darren and Natalie are excellent hosts and go over and above to ensure you have an excellent stay. We just wanted to thank you both once again for helping us yesterday, when our jockey wheel handle snapped just as we were leaving!! Your site is beautiful, the location is amazing and we look forward to seeing you again! Many thanks from us both.

We have just returned from a 2 nt stay on a regular pitch - 20 ( with space for sun canopy / awning ) . |Friendly informative welcome - walked to pitch to explain electricity card hook up .|( we got £3.90 electric credit and our vw didn’t use it all , the difference was refunded when we checked out ) ||The site in very well kept, plenty of signage . |It’s adult only which was ideal for us and everyone spoke to each other in passing etc ||Clean separate male & female shower toilet block . 3 showers and toilets -1 of toilets was bigger had a sink and mirror in it which is very good - allows room to change clothes in it . |The hairdryer wasn’t the best but most take their own to use in van . |I really like that you are asked to clean after use (with the provided spray/cloths n disinfectant brush after use of shower ) |Was never an issue of waiting or being busy . ||There’s access to a washer n dryer all day if you need it . ||It’s a short walk into Thornton Le Dale with shops / pubs / takeaways / cafes and a bus stop . ||We will be returning 😊 and recommend ||Tip |Ensure plot is suitable for your camper / caravan / motorhome size /awning as plots are different sizes .The owner will send you a map and available plot number

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. This site is fantastic. It has good showers, its all very clean and tidy. All the staff are lovely and helpful. The site is very peaceful and is adult only. Plenty to do in the local area. We have booked to return in August, can't wait to go back.
