Otter Falls - Honiton

The location of Otter Falls is beautiful and there's lots of nice walks, as well as places to drive to nearby. We visited Seaton (for the tram), Sidmouth and the Sidmouth donkey sanctuary. Honiton is just down the road for supermarkets and we enjoyed eating at the Sidmouth Arms, as well as the ice cream at Otter Vale. We liked the pizza truck on Wednesday - definitely recommend and the nice touches like free cream tea on a Tuesday and free marshmallows for toasting on a Wednesday. We enjoyed drinking and eating in the Bistro.
The staff we came across were lovely and helpful. The site itself was tucked into nature and we liked waking up to birdsong (and geese!). The hot tub was great for chilling in after a busy day.
The swimming pool however had grubby tiling and flooring surrounding it and the pool edge felt a bit greasy. Would say the swimming pool room deserved a little more love as it's so popular!
Our cottage (Long Barn) was lovely too but also needed a lick of paint in places, as well as work done on the front door lock and bathroom lock as these were a bit dodgy. The sofa bed also wasn't very comfy but with an airbed on top for 3/4 of the nights, it was livable! With some tlc it would've been perfect!

Otter falls is a lovely place to stay! I’ve visited several times in the last year, recently we stayed in one of the lodges over looking the lake. The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need. It was so tranquil and gave me peace I needed to rewind. The staff are all great but I would like to give a special mention to Kayla. The Tickled Trout bistro has excellent food and the pizzas from the van are really tasty. The most important thing for us is how dog friendly the site is! Dogs can go almost anywhere and there is fabulous walk around the outside of Otter |Falls with lovely views over Otter Valley. We will certainly be back some time!

We came for a weekend away for my partner’s birthday present and had the most amazing time! We stayed in a one bedroom retreat and were so impressed! The retreat was absolutely spotless when we arrived and the location was beautifully set in the countryside. ||Swimming pool was lovely and is open all day 9am-6pm. We had a lovely swim on Saturday morning and it was completely empty. Only thing that could be improved would be an update for the changing facilities within the pool building. Just the one room for male changing and one for female changing, no separate cubicles which could be uncomfortable in busier times when there are more people around. However, other than this we could not fault our stay. ||Thank you to all the staff who play a part in the running of Otter Falls, you are all doing a fantastic job. Always smiling and happy to help. We will be back, thank you x

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent break to Otter Falls. We visited as an adult family of 3 plus dog and found the accommodation, signature Lodge, comfortable, clean and very convenient.|My husband and son are both avid anglers and we're out on the lake bank from dawn to dusk - the big fish we're elusive but that's fishing! |Between keeping my "boys" supplied with bacon sandwiches and cups of coffee, I enjoyed the glorious dog walks, both within the site and close by. The countryside is stunning. My favorites were the views across the valley from the bridleways to the rear and the Otter River where the dog was able to have a good splash about!|We met several members of staff during our stay and all were extremely friendly and helpful, especially with tips for walking.|We only stayed for 3 nights and we all agreed it was over too soon. We will be back and next time for a longer stay. |Thank you Otter Falls!|

Loved this place, peaceful & serene but also lots to do around this area.

Pub on site serving great feed, and they had a guest food vendor on Wednesday (pizza van)

Accommodation was clean and modern and had everything we needed. We also took the dog along, which was perfect!

Staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Highly recommend and will be back! Thank you! 😀

Booked a one bed woodland retreat lodge, for myself, husband and our dog. Absolutely loved it, it was so bright, compact, clean and appealing and had everything we needed for our short stay. Peaceful setting and so good not having any cars driving past. Had a big copper bath on our patio, which was fab too, under a starry clear sky. The site is in a lovely area of Devon, the staff were friendly and it had a small pool and a cafe/bar on site, also did food pop up nights. Loved the river walks in the area, looking out at the on site fishing lakes and just not rushing around! Nice touches like free bike use and campfire nights. Highly recommend this site. We will definitely be going back later in year.

We booked for 2 nights, some places we’ve been to have been a let down, from the minute I walked into reception, then into our lodge we were not disappointed, in fact we were over the moon, the views, location, cleanliness & overall facilities of the lodge were outstanding.|We had a fabulous 2 nights, made friends with the couple in the neighbouring lodge & booked to go back the following weekend for 3 nights. Happy memories were truly made & we all booked to go back in October. We had our dogs with us & they were left gifts in the lodge & we’re able to shut the gate & didn’t have to worry about them getting out. Otter falls really did give us a fabulous break🦦🦦🦦

Our second off peak visit and would planning another trip later in the year. |The whole package was amazing value for money, peaceful surroundings and the use of the hot tub at any time. |Especially loved the pizza van, fresh on site and really tasty. |All of the team are helpful and welcoming. |Great location for the dogs, lots of great walks and beaches not far away.
