A great place to visit. Beautiful medieval back streets with Tudor housing, and a picturesque Georgian quarter. Good range of unusual shops and many eateries and coffee shops. A winning floral town in the summer. Visit the Quarry. Lovely river side walks. Cool and green and shady.

Did a walking guided tour with Martin the town crier as the guide. He's a tourist attraction in his own right at 7"2 in full regalia. His knowledge and passion for this town was impressive.

The first time I visited Shrewsbury I was in awe of the wonderful black and white buildings. It was like stepping back in time. Shrewsbury is a beautiful place to visit, shop and stay. Check out what events are happening at the time of visiting as they have lots going on throughout the year, such as the Shrewsbury Flower Show, Food Festival and Shrewsbury Cartoon Festival
