We had a great week at Rookery Nook in Warkworth. Perfectly situated for all the village has to offer and a great base for all that Northumberland has to offer. The fact that it is set back off the road also has the added benefit of being so peaceful. Lots of character with all the modern conveniences that you could need. My only little note to future dwellers is take a spare set of towels as you only get one set for the week. Other than that, it was absolutely spot on and we will most definitely be looking at returning in the near future.

Stayed in Barn Cottage. Gorgeous views (as seen in photos above), great resources. In winter it was a lovely place to come back to, warm up by the fire and play a board game. But in summer I imagine it would be just as good. Nice staff, even the drizzly weather added to the charm. Overall fantastic experience!

Stayed at Hastings House for my sister's 40th last weekend and it was absolutely beautiful.
The house is in such a tranquil place and was fantastic to spend the weekend relaxing. The owners were fantastic we will definitely be back

The situation of this house is absolutely beautiful. To me it's a shame that the pictures try to make it seem like a detached property. It isn't, so it was confusing and disappointing to pull into the driveway and see other cars parked in the same courtyard. There was also a problem with bugs - the downstairs bedrooms had earwigs in all the drawers and even in the beds. The place could do with a good clean, but the situation is beautiful, the house is spacious, the conservatory is an absolutely brilliant place to be and from there you would think you were completely alone and private. Well worth a visit, but it would be nice to see the company put a little care into the place. The upstairs mattress needs replacing, the soap dispensers need filling, the bedrooms need a good clean, just little details like that that made it just less than perfect. Easily fixed if the company wants to.

Samphire cottage was absolutely perfect. Brilliant location, so close to the centre,spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. We had to leave the cottage early due to family matters and when l rang the office to explain the lady was so friendly and understanding. We will definitely return

Lovely location a short walking distance from Bamburgh and easy to access all areas along the coast. Ideal accommodation for a family holiday with table tennis and board games available for days when the weather wasn’t suitable for walking. . However we were very disappointed to find that the maintenance and cleanliness of the property and the shared facilities was lacking making it not possible to enjoy all that the website portrays.

Avoid this company/owner - I booked tumbler rocks retreat at seahouses for 3 nights over New Year. I paid £750 deposit which was taken from my account within 24 hours and the booking was confirmed however 3 days later I was sent an email to say the owner doesn’t accept bookings for 3 days and was asked if I wanted to pay extra to secure for 7 days. This is misleading to confirm bookings and change at short notice I am yet to receive my refund into my account. The property is back up for rent and still able to book for 3 nights! Not trustworthy. Had I cancelled the booking the contract indicates I’d have to pay a fee which doesn’t seem applicable if the company breaks the contract. Be aware….

Just back from spending 4 nights at the Bolt Hole in Bamburgh. The house is in a great location and finished to a very high standard. Good sized shower cubicles, good quality beds and bedding and a fully equipped kitchen (not that it was used much). Great choice of dining options on your doorstep although booking is essential at most. One small suggestion - a full length mirror would be very useful. I found the Grace Darling staff very helpful as there was a small problem with the card payment and being able to accommodate a very late request for an additional car parking space. Overall, we had a great holiday experience and I would recommend the Bolt Hole.
