We stayed at the Loft. It is ideal for two people. Having looked at the price of hotel rooms in Rye, this gives you more - like a lounge and kitchen. We enjoyed the freedom to head back to this flat after walks in the town or the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. It’s in a good central location, with a view over the town. It was great to have a parking space for our car. Although it is next to the Winchelsea Road, it was very quiet at night.

There were some nice touches like dressing gowns and coffee pods. There was a smart speaker and tv and a Nest heating control.

A microwave wasn’t provided, but could have been a useful, less energy-hungry way to cook food. Be aware that the flat is two storeys up. The flat is very much as described on the web site.

Having found this nice flat, we would definitely recommend it and return.

We would highly recommend a stay at "Home on the Strand". It is beautifully appointed throughout, and every inch of space has been so well thought out, with the right balance of design, practicality and comfort.
The property's location is perfect for exploring Rye and the local area. During our 3 night stay, we ate out daily - and all restaurants are within walking distance of the property.
I mainly chose 'Home on the Strand' for the parking space, and I'm so pleased I did, as the property had so much more to offer! I will definitely be recommending to my friends.

The House on the Strand is lovely - lots of elements makes it feel like a hotel - nice bedding, good coffee, nice towels, dressing gowns etc . The location is great - 5 min walk to the gorgeous high street. Easy parking made it all seem very relaxed. Bedrooms are small but are so well thought out it just doesn’t matter - great wardrobe space, full length mirrors etc. Rye is such a nice place all in all a great short break and we will definitely book again

We've been visiting Rye regularly for more than a decade and got engaged in mermaid street so it's a special place. This year we brought our 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old for the first time. The Home on the Strand was perfect for us. Very clean, comfortable and cosy. It's a great location and was perfect base to explore the town and Camber sands. the parking bay is very useful too. our eldest said he had the best time and keeps asking to come back! so we would love to return in summer and make use of the little garden too. Such a gem of a find in Rye. Thank you

We stayed at Home on The Strand. The place was very stylishly decorated, Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed - they even left some fresh milk for us in the fridge, and a range of nespresso coffee pods for the machine. The addition of a parking spot is a very welcome touch.

Recommendations on where to eat in Rye were spot on and made the stay extra special. The location was ideal for exploring the town and driving further afield.

As with most places to stay in Rye, proximity to the main road is hard to avoid, and with that comes noise, so be prepared.

All in all a wonderful base to relax after exploring the town. The full range of Netflix, Amazon & Disney+ available to guests was also a huge bonus when winding down of an evening with the little one sleeping upstairs.

Wonderful hosts and a wonderful place to stay.

Stayed in On the Strand in Rye for an anniversary long weekend break. Rye is a perfect romantic winter break, and In the Strand was the perfect base to explore. Very convenient, just a few minutes stroll from everything in Rye. The apartment was exactly as described, very modern, comfortable and cozy.

Just back from our second stay at On The Strand. Beautifully appointed, very cosy and warm and in the ideal spot to explore both Rye and the surrounding area. Everything about this apartment is perfect, great shower, comfy bed and a well equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine and pods! The parking space is huge boon in Rye. We will definitely be back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in the Loft on the Strand. It is immaculate and stylish with lots of extra, thoughtful touches. The bedlinen and towels are of the highest quality, the kitchen is well equipped (3 types of cooking oil and a fabulous Nespresso Vertuo machine), fast wifi and smart tv with netflix etc. It is a very short stroll to the centre of Rye - lots of recommendations for places to eat and drink in the loft. There is private parking as well, James and Yasmin are great hosts, cheerful, helpful and responsive - I highly recommend them. Looking through the guest book suggests we are not alone in our views!!
