We spent a few days on the Old Leckie Farm. The property is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. We had a lovely time walking the farm and taking in all the history. Alison was an amazing host who shared many details about the property that made our stay the highlight of our trip to Scotland.

The location is an easy drive or train ride to Stirling, Loch Lomond, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

I left my heart there and will be back soon.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The host was very friendly and and helpful. Great communication and customer service from the day of the booking until the end of our stay. We had a tour through the farm and our daughter loved to learn about animals.

This charming accommodation is located at a picturesque location surrounded by a farmland with old trees. Within comfortable driving distance to Loch Lamond and/or Glasgow.

It has electric vehicle charging port - which is great for us and enabled us to travel around without the fear of running out of power.

The house has a very spacious kitchen/living room to socialise in, and it has well positioned bedrooms if you want to have a break/private time. There is a fantastic view through the windows and the log burner was so great for after our walks during the day.

The house was clean and warm, good size bath and a shower cabin. Kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils and modern appliances. There were books and board games to keep us entertained and busy.

The produce of the farm (steaks, sausages and eggs) were of exceptional quality and we will be ordering their produce to be delivered via courier when back in England.

We really enjoyed staying here and totally recommend this place!!! Thank you to Fergus and Alison.

We came here as a family for a surprise birthday for my mum. Alison was amazing, warm and friendly. Fresh produce delivered to our doorstep and always providing extras if we needed e.g fire wood. Such an incredible farm. Every morning we woke to the sheep baa-ing and lambs playing in the field just outside the window. Couldn’t fault this place and it was so peaceful! Thank you once again Alison for making our stay so special! Best wishes.

We stayed here for a 4 day weekend in September 2022 and it was amazing. When we arrived there was bread, butter, eggs and milk waiting with a view of the horses right outside our window. Being near Sterling, it was an easy 1 hour drive from Glasgow where we had taken the train and picked up a rental car.
The farm is wonderful and there are many good hikes just on the farm. We also walked to nearby Kippen and Gargunnock, eating at the Inn's in both places. The Gargunnock Inn served delicious sausages from the Old Leckie Farm.

Our host, Alison, was wonderful. We had to reschedule this trip form earlier this year due to an illness and she was very nice and helped us find the new dates. She met us as we arrived and stopped to talk with us whenever she saw us out. Our final day, she took the time to give us a tour of the farm. It was fun to learn more about the history of the farm and how they work to run the farm sustainably.

The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Having 3 bedrooms allowed us all to spread out and be comfortable. The wood burner with the supplied firewood was great for the chilly evenings. There were board games provided and we had fun playing a couple we hadn't tried before. The main bathroom was huge and very nice. Having the extra half bath was nice since there were four of us.

Sterling and the Highliands, Lochs were all easy drives. We visiting the castle in Sterling and the Wallace Monument. Both were worth the visit. We also found some hiking trails nearby and took a boat tour of Loch Lomond.

Still, we found a lot more we didn't have time to get to. If we ever get back to Scotland, we'll definitely be making a return to Old Leckie Farm.

They offer farm and history tours. This is a working family heritage farm. Their family was amazingly friendly, and our whole family enjoyed the tour, the history, and the animals. This was our ancestral home. The experience of being able to visit and learn even more about our family lineage surpassed all of our expectations. Thanks for the great memories that our family will never forget.

We came to Scotland for its nature and we sure got that at Old Leckie Farm. So we stayed here for more than two weeks, shrouded in the songs of blackbirds and finches, in the rustling of leaves, in the scent of honeysuckle and hawthorn, 'Walking On Sunshine' amidst 'The Green Green Grass' of 'The Low Road To Bonnie Loch Lomond'.
On and around the extensive grounds of this large property with its fine cattle and sheep, its happy pigs and chickens, we especially enjoyed the age-old trees: numerous beautiful thick oaks and limetrees (3-4 meters circumference was no exception), beeches and even old yews, flowering gardens, high bushes of varicolored rhododendrons around the impressive steading.
We'll always keep a fond memory of a murder of crows, that, at the end of the day, used to flock together in the huge limetree in front of our apartment, cawing their bedtime stories.
The hard working farmers and their staff take great care of the ancestral farm. A part of the actual stables has been converted into a spacious and clean apartment, whose main value are its friendly hosts Alison and Fergus and its location, location, location.
