A dream of a venue! Beautiful gardens, loads of space, and the orangery is just stunning. It has the grandeur without being overwhelming – perfect for couples who want a bit of elegance and loads of variety for backdrops.

We've photgraphed in both the manor house and the barn area, it's so versatile and the staff are incredible!

Fabulous afternoon tea for four, as a birthday celebration. Sandwiches, scones and a selection of macaron etc.

If you book for lunch in the manor, you get access to the park as a big discount as well. I’m sure we’ll be back - the staff were lovely.

Wow, what can i say about Old Down Estate and Zoe Connelly in particular! Myself and my husband first met with Zoe in September 2024 to view The Barn for our potential wedding, Zoe instantly put us at ease, there was no pushiness to book. We instantly fell in love with the Barn and as soon as we got home we booked!
Our day wouldn’t have bern as perfect as it was without Zoe, we planned our wedding in 6 months and there was zero stress! Zoe and the team were absolutely fantastic and we cant thank them enough! The food was also amazing, we went for a bbq and it was perfectly organised! So thank you Zoe and Old Down Estate for helping us create our perfect day that we will never forget! Beki & Reece Dunn

Attended the Illumination Trail for Christmas with my family and had a lovely evening. Tickets were well priced and the trail was lovely. Just the right lenght for children but are free to go round as many times as you like. Some fairground rides and a nice selection of food and drinks available from the Cafe. Free marshmallows for toasting half way round was a nice touch too 😊

Absolutely loved this facility.
We went for a day out with some of the grandchildren, to a small but nice foodie event.
The location is easy to find, easy to park with great facilities.
We did find the adventure playground, not my words my eldest grandson, and the 3 of them had a blast. The play area is probably one of the best for kids of all ages we have ever been to.
Slides, climbing, zip wire, sand pits, bounce trampoline to name just a few.
Would have been great to have a few more seats around but I’m not picking.
So Location is superb, clean with good facilities, a little shop on arrival then a beautiful walk, perfect on a hot day with all the shade around.
Well done and see you soon.

Such a great family day out. Really enjoyed it and will be getting an annual pass.

My little one loved seeing the animals and playing in the big outdoor space filled will so many activities. Great place for adults too, with plenty of things to see, great for views or a walk, and have a picnic when it's dry.

A really enjoyable relaxing place for the family in amazing grounds.

The best thing for me about this place are the walks and the views across to Wales taking in the bridges.

There is a lot for the kids to enjoy too.
The kids enjoyed feeding the farm animals. When we went there was a childrens entertainer. There is also a great play area where they can spend hours running around - sand pits, zip wires, trampolines, climbing frames.
There is a fairy garden and outdoor chequers which adds to the day.

There is a great cafe/restaurant with a large wood fire.

For max value, consider an annual pass for repeat visits.

This is such a gem of a wedding venue in a beautiful setting💕

As photographers and videographers, we love the light, bright and airy feel of the rooms, both for getting ready (awesome bridal suite) and in the reception area and foyer.
The walled garden is so pretty and peaceful and the photo opps are endless here.
There is a also a lake further down, which is a short walk from the main house and definitely worth a trip (brides, wear flats).

The team will ensure you are having the best day ever and that you don't have to worry about a thing. We can highly recommend Old Down and look forward to working here again soon.
