A brilliant place to spend an afternoon walk, is tough going In places & slippery under foot, so correct footwear advised & caution for slipper stones & tree roots, but otherwise a superb place for some fresh air & excerise 👍

very deep drift has to carry my dog rosie as been a minature schnauzer with little legs apart from that very refreshing

Not much to see in summer due to the amount of water in the stream, but can be quite spectacular during a heavy storm. Historically the reservoir keepers used to throw lime in to the falls to lower the acidity of the reservoir below. (see the stone lime house)
