My daughter has been with Ellen at nurturing minds for two months now.

I was a little worried at the start it would be a struggle to get her to agree to going to extra lessons especially in the evenings. Typical teenager, would rather be sat on the phone watching random TikTok videos.

We’ve had a difficult year at school last year with a lot of anxiety and stress, upset stomachs and tears. Extra support was definitely needed to get back on track for GCSE years!

After week one, I’ve started dropping my daughter off at the door and she heads on up the stairs to her 1-1 session without hesitation. When my daughter is stressed they play her favourite music in the background while she works. Ellen has taken the time to get to know my daughter and they get on so well now!

We were driving home this week and my daughter said
Fractions were one of the things that stressed me out most about maths and school last year and made me really anxious about going into school. But now Ellen has helped me and they’re easy, I don’t know what I was panicking about.
To a mum, when you’ve had a super difficult year with schooling, that was like music to my ears!

The work you have all done with my little boy has been amazing. He went from not being able to read and getting one spelling right in his weekly tests, to reading everything and getting all his weekly spellings right. My 12-year-old daughter had an incredible week at the Nurturing Minds summer scheme. The program includes arts and creative activities, outdoor play and mindfulness techniques. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, making my daughter feel welcome and valued from the moment they greeted her at the door. She loved exploring her artistic talents and engaging in fun outdoor adventures, which were both fun and educational.

The mindfulness and anxiety relief techniques were particularly beneficial. My daughter has learned new skills to help manage anxiety with secondary school. Overall, Nurturing Minds provided a transformative summer experience that has nurtured my daughter’s mind, body, and spirit. I highly recommend this program for any child at any age and cannot wait to get her back with this amazing team. Well done! 👏 Great value for money too!

Only 3 sessions in and my daughter is so happy with going. Teens can be hard to get to new places but straight from the first session she said she was happy with going back and could see it helping her. When I got in just after her yesterday. Straight away got me the note from the tutor but I always let her tell me what she said and she said she was very proud of her self 🥲 It's mad how some one to one can give so much confidence.
