Just came back from a Berlin trip provided by NST. During the planning of the trip, NST have been amazing and very supportive, however while actually on the trip:

1. Provided me with a ‘trusted’ hostel for accommodation for 40 13-14 year olds. Completely inappropriate place to stay. We felt so unsafe leaving the students in their rooms that us teachers completed rounds around the hotel during the night. Had attracted dangerous and inappropriate people who caused trouble amongst my students. No safety, no cctv cameras and only 2 security guards for the whole place which was 6 stories high and had hundreds of people staying. Had to deal with an incident of a couple approaching my students multiple times when told not to- the hotel could not even identify who they were even though they were staying in the hotel and on the same floor as my students. I personally was attacked by older boys when trying to protect my students as they were knocking on their doors. Staying here was a nightmare, I don’t know what NST was thinking putting us in a place like this.

2. I called the NST emergency number twice on the trip and no answer each time. What is the point in an emergency service if they won’t answer/ support.

3. While planning the trip, NST had told me the wrong price for travel tickets- I had to pay 350 Euros more than the anticipated amount.
NST said they would refund this money to my account straight away for me to spend on the trip but never did, now we are back in London so was left with little contingency money throughout the trip.

4. Vital information was not correctly informed to the hotel we were staying at for example, nut allergies, room allocations (everything was updated on the NST manager website prior to leaving.

5. After completing over a year’s worth of planning and hard work on this residential, I feel NST let me down and led me to fail. Please be mindful when booking with this tour operator!

My son recently came back from a trip to Valencia. Overall he had a brilliant time, (although i believe the activities were a bit disorganised). I cannot give more than a 1 star because they were taken to a live dolphin show. (For which we have obviously paid for in advance without our knowledge). Keeping these beautiful, highly intelligent and emotional animals confined in pens for human entertainment is outdated, cruel and wrong!
The only way to stop this is to stop supporting it.

Unreliable!!!
Not deserving of 1 star.
2 days before a planned School trip to Rome NST confirm they have failed to book the necessary flights.
Apology received is less than sincere and no offer of compensation/recompense.
NST Travel Group are a disgrace to themselves and the industry they represent.

Avoid!
Cancelled my son's U6 Skinners' School trip to the US with four weeks' notice as they couldn't obtain an internal transfer from NY to Boston - v poor excuse, leaving 72 disgruntled kids.
They also took over two weeks to process the refund.
