A living sculpture of a reclining lady. Made from soil & rock from a nearby open cast mine.
I love things that are different & this certainly was that. Can climb to the top of her head for views down her body & the surrounding land.
A lovely coffee shop on site selling food too. Free to visit they just ask for a donation for the car park.

We went on a slightly miserable week day so we had the whole place to ourselves. Theres a decent hour of walking if you want to do all the paths, we did about a 3 mile walk in an hour. Its a shame people are ignoring the keep to path signs and damaging the sculpture

Free parking (donation voluntary) and free entry. Dog friendly but dogs must be kept on lead under close control (which majority did but few thought those signs didn't apply to them).

Lovely walk around the landscape, different views from different angles. So many different routes you could walk for ages or come back several times and do a different walk. Most of the tracks were well maintained and easy to follow.

For those reviews that say it was boring, or nothing to do and gave it 1 star, obviously aren't outdoor walker people. If staying in or being entertained is your thing then this isn't for you. If you love being outside, or something a bit different, or walking the dog then this is great 👍

Beautiful and spectacular views. Good for walks and amusement when making sense of the lady of the north structure with friends or family. And there's a lovely coffee shop next to the car park area. Also close to public transport accessibility like bus stops.
