An incredible five days exploring Northumberland in 'Oswald'. It's one of the most fun breaks I've had.

Everything you could possibly need is included, and there was nothing we were wanting for on the trip. You just need to bring clothes, sleeping bag, pillows, food and wood for a fire!

David was incredibly helpful prior to the trip, at pick up and checked on us after the storms - it's clear he really cares that his guests have a great time on their travels. Ask him for a list of places to eat.

I'd never slept in a Tent Box before, am not much of a camper, and had never driven a Land Rover. I'm converted and want a Defender and a Tent Box now!

Highly recommend using Wild With Consent to book sites, and planning your trip out.

Certainly booking for next year too.

David & Ella have thought of everything to make a camping trip easy and comfortable. We rented this fully kitted out OSWALD defender with everything you could possibly need for a luxurious camping trip.

The route they had planned for us is so clever and makes for a stunning drive taking you through forests, mountains and coastal paths but always on roads that are easy to drive even if you’ve not previously driven a vehicle of this size.

Our children looked out of the window the whole time! Not a device in sight! And we stopped a lot too! We’d recommend the Cook & Barker for delicious food.

We were lucky enough to drive the NLand250 route and were blown away.

David was superb and such a help with us novices with rooftop camping. Nothing was too much trouble and very kindly answered my numerous emails. The planning and anticipation was part of the trip.

The NLAND250 route and map really showcased Northumberland, we even hopped into The Borders. It was such a treat to drive the Land Rover Defender and David & Ella had thought of everything when it came to the kit. It was of such a high quality and added to the experience.

Connie, our cocker spaniel loved it and the landscape repeatedly took our breath away. A few more hills than Suffolk but the aging lady and her owners took it in their stride. We made some wonderful memories.

We would wholeheartedly recommend. We will be back and drive the route again, this time in our own Defender. It was an expensive holiday!

An amazing experience! The Landrover comes fully equipped with everything you could need, and the car itself is super fun to drive! We were able to explore Northumberland and stay in some beautifully wild places, with all of the comforts Oswald had to offer! David was lovely, friendly, knowledgable of the area and gave us some great recommendations! If you are thinking of doing this — go for it!!

My son and I had a fantastic experience driving and camping in our rented 4x4 (Hadrian) around Northumberland for 3 nights/4 days. Highly recommend!

The Defender itself was a thing of beauty, I totally fell in love with driving it and living out of it. The roof tent itself was surprisingly comfortable and, other than some pillows and sleeping bags, all the kit you could need was provided. The gear was high-quality and well-maintained.

Camping under the stars in Northumberland’s beautiful landscapes was amazing. The campsites were chosen through Wild With Consent, which offered both seclusion and spectacular locations. Again, highly recommend.

If you're looking for an extraordinary way to explore Northumberland's natural beauty, this is a must-do.

A truly memorable experience. Took the little truck to Mull and Skye for a week of camping. Survived force 9 gales and horizontal rain. The whole vehicle was rocking in the storm but the roof tent stayed in one piece and we were safe and warm.
Thanks to the crew at Northumberland Defenders who were helpful, efficient and unfussy. The equipment was perfect and all that we needed.

It was our first time camping as a family of four (with an 8 and 5 yr old) and also our first time with a roof-tent and the experience could not have been any better! Every detail was thought through and the gear provided was perfect. With evening temps down to 5C we decided to skip pitching the additional ground tent and all 4 of us managed to snuggle up and fit in the roof tent. They even included hot water bottles so that we could keep our sleeping bags warm through the night. The owners of the business have clearly applied years of personal experience camping and packaged it into an incredible holiday experience. The Northumberland landscape (both inland the coastline) alongside the unbelievably welcoming and helpful host, David, were the stars here. Cannot recommend this experience enough!

We took it slow and covered about 60% of the N250 route in the three nights/ four days we had over Easter. We’re already talking to friends about coming back and doing more, in a bit of a convoy. Also shout out to Wild With Consent for the superb experience at Spindlestone Farm. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience with a fantastic company. Hired Cuthbert for a couple of days to explore Northumberland staying at some wild with consent sites at Low Threwitt and Scremerston. Defender is great fun to drive and has all the kit you will ever need, had an awesome time and will not hesitate to book again in the near future.
