Had an AMAZING time here, went for my best friends birthday and did the Rare and Endangered animals experience and got to handle and see lots of amazing animals, including the baby foxes! The staff member guiding us was super friendly and lovely, and it was well worth the money spent. Would 100% come here again.

Did one of their experience days with my Dad this weekend. Fantastic day. Learned a lot and enjoyed being able to hold the birds. Highly recommend a visit! I think we’ll go back to see the other animals at the centre on one of their open days if possible.

A slight heads up, one of the flights of the birds involved having an owl fly to you and being able to hand feed it some raw chicken. The chap did ask if anyone wasn’t comfortable with touching the raw chicken piece. Normally I wouldn’t be comfortable without immediately washing my hands (which would have been impractical) but this was not my first bird of prey experience so I was prepared with sanitising hand wipes. But it was good of them to check everyone was okay with it. Just something to consider if you’re going to do an experience and are a bit icked out by that part.

Great little centre with a variety of birds and other animals. The staff are well informed and approachable and the cost is definitely a bargain for what you get

It's only open to the public for specific experiences and days so you must buy your ticket in advance.

What made it special was the young man who told us all about the birds we handled. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. It was evident he enjoyed his job and I expect he's recounted the talk hundreds of times, yet he made it so interesting and fun. Good job 👏

I went to the Birds of Prey Experience today and it was amazing! The staff member giving the experience, Charlie, was very, very knowledgeable about birds of prey in general but also specifically about these particular birds. He knew everything about each one of them including their likes and dislikes and what type of mood they were in today. He clearly spends a lot of time with them and cares for them like they are his family.. He was very entertaining, The birds were beautiful of course and well looked after. The area was clean and tidy and a shelter was provided to get out of the burning sun. Beforehand we were advised to bring drinks and wear suncream. Health & safety was good - we had to walk through some shoe cleaning solution to stop the spread of bird flu and were provided with the special bird handling gloves, which were all in good condition. The group wasn’t too big and we all got a turn to hold each bird and to then, in turn, have the largest bird fly and land on our arm. The experience didn’t feel rushed; we had lots of time to spend with each bird, and had the chance to ask questions and have them all answered. Amazing experience! 100% recommend it!

Visited today - my son done the 4 hour bird of prey experience as a gift. He absolutely loved it. You can see the birds are very well looked after. Will was very knowledgeable and took his time with each bird, ensuring everybody got to hold every bird and were given the opportunity to ask questions throughout. He also went above and beyond with my son giving him great advice ( he wants to work with birds of prey when he is older ) Would highly recommend.
