The Highlands Self driving tour at leisure was our first time touring and driving in the UK. The route they gave us (suggested) turned out to be far more scenic than I came up with on google maps. Rental car company, car and maps were great! The 7 different hotels were comfortable and the staffs were helpful, wonderful people. Lauriane was easy to contact with any questions during the planning stages as well as while we were in Scotland. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting the flexibility that a large tour can’t accommodate but you miss expert commentary that a large tour gives. We read a lot ahead of time and just enjoyed the sights and the local people!

We have used Nordic Visitor to plan and book 3 trips at this point. We are seasoned travellers and we are used to self-booking all our trips. However we have come to find that using Nordic gets us access to properties we would never find on our own, along with personalized self-drive itineraries and MOST IMPORTANTLY 24/7/365 support! This became abundantly clear when we were involved in a serious car accident on the Isle of Skye. Nordic were absolutely AMAZING supporting us through this event, rebooking our accommodations, helping us liaise with the car rental company to get a replacement and rejigging our itinerary to get back on the road with minimal disruption. 6/5 stars! I cannot give enough credit to their incredible staff and their commitment to their customers. It is rare to encounter this level of service and simply unprecedented at their affordable price points. Incredible. ? recommend for all your Northern European excursions!

We just returned from our trip to Scotland c/o Nordic Visitor, and we wanted to thank you for the extremely well organized and thorough service that you offered.
The information package was beautifully put together and offered so many options of places to visit. Of course, it is impossible to see everything, but it was so convenient to have the options clearly laid out.
Our accommodations were all well suited and the morning breakfasts were a treat. Special mention to the Ibis in Edinburgh where the staff were exceptionally helpful, the location ideal and a continental breakfast second to none. Each of the remaining overnight stays were uniquely special and all the hosts were most accommodating.
The car rental was seamless and being on the outskirts of town made for easy exit and return to the city whilst learning to drive on the correct side of the road.
I don’t know how much influence you had on the weather, but we were blessed with sunshine for all but one day which for Scotland is almost unheard of. We almost got a suntan in Skye during the two days we were there with clear blue skies and unseasonably warm temperatures.
All in all, an excellent holiday and a very well-arranged trip making it as stress free as possible for us. We will have no reservations in recommending you to friends and family.

Duncan!!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I know it's your job and you do it everyday, but the personal details, passionate effort and communication you invested made our vacation feel so custom to us. The self guided tour included a packet ready at the hotel and had such a great agenda with step by step instructions even a hand written and highlighted map - made us feel so confident like invincible Rockstar's! (Over 55 years young) Cheers to the beautiful land of Scotland and Ireland, so many memories, laughs, meeting so many new people, the kind B&B folks, the food and drink and all the precious little animals. My wife and I just returned recently from our trip in Scotland. We signed up for the 10-day self-drive package and could not have been happier with the entire experience. This was our first trip to Europe and we were a little apprehensive. Nordic Visitor made everything so easy. Communication with our Travel Advisor Chris was always timely, detailed, and professional. The instructions and tips really take all the pressure off. The selection of accommodations were perfect. Every hotel, castle, and B&B we stayed at along the way offered something unique. All the B&B hosts were exceptional. Coordinating pick-up and drop-off of the rental vehicle was seamless. We booked an extra day at the beginning to ensure we were well rested before the start of the trip. My only regret was not booking an extra day/night at the end to give ourselves a little more time before departure. Nordic Visitor handles the bookings of the extra nights - and I highly recommend. Our next trip is Italy; and my only concern is Nordic Visitor has set the bar so high - I can only hope another agency can come close on delivering on what was an amazing experience. Thank-you.

We just got back from a self-drive tour in Scotland, and the entire experience was fantastic! Duncan was wonderful to work with, especially when we had hiccups like a broken ferry or cancelled flight.

The daily itineraries (a long with restaurant and travel guides) were so helpful in giving ideas of what to do each day. One person in our group walks with a cane, so we replaced some of the longer hikes with different things like shopping or castles.

All of the accomodations were great, but the B&Bs on Orkney and Isle of Skye were the highlights. The hosts were amazing and the breakfasts were delicious.

I'm quite glad we made the decision to book our honeymoon with Nordic Visitor. From the initial booking, they made SURE that all of our questions and concerns were addressed.
We chose the Classic Scotland package, which basically took us on a round trip of Scotland. There were SO many great memories for my wife and I- we found ourselves speechless from the sheer beauty of the country several times and we cannot WAIT to go back! With Nordic Visitor, they provide you digital copies of everything you need- specifically, all of the vouchers for your activities on your trip. You can also be provided physical paper copies of these vouchers upon arriving at your first hotel- this was reassuring to me, as I am an anxious planner and always want to have everything prepared and ready to go (LOL). Also, the hotels you'll be staying at frequently do business with Nordic Visitor, so providing just your name in most cases was enough- this was reassuring and calmed our nerves during the trip.
For the optional activities on our honeymoon, we chose to get tours of the Johnnie Walker store on Prince Street, and also for the Glenlivet distillery. Both of these were AMAZING, and for varying reasons. Johnnie Walker offers you an interactive history of the company and provides a visually stunning light show throughout several exhibits, along with several customized drinks to fit your preferences! Glenlivet gives you insight into the distilling process and shows you more of the industrial side of things, and also ends with some of their best whiskies available. I would recommend BOTH to anyone, even if you're not a whiskey connoisseur (LOL).
Overall, our Trip was PERFECT. Duncan was our agent with Nordic Visitor, and I want to reiterate that he made SURE that he was available to us and that we had every single thing we needed for this once-in-a-lifetime trip. We are eternally grateful to them!!
