We booked a trip to Lapland via a local travel agent, who arranged the trip with the Nordic Experience team. Jane and Miska accompanied us on the trip, and were extremely helpful and friendly the whole time, keeping all participants informed on what was happening, sharing photos on experiences where we didn't have access to cameras, and most appreciated was the fact they went out of their way to help us with the travel home as we had some challenges with illness and helped make sure we made all the connecting flights and got through security without problems, including waiting with us to ensure we collected our baggage. Really appreciated and helped make sure the experience was as great as we had hoped - thank you!

We used a local travel agent to book our holiday to Iceland, curtesy of Nordic Experience. Superb trip away. Loved every minute, seeing the sights of Iceland. Each trip went smoothly, no messing, Sadly, the Northern lights didn’t dance for us. We did go out to see them, but only saw amber light, no green. Only part of the jigsaw that didn’t fit and would have completed the trip for us….that’s nature for you. Happy Days, here’s to our next trip away. Thank you Nordic Experience, it was a pleasure.

Just returned from an amazing trip to Norway and Sweden professionally tailored for me by Nordic Experiences. I was very stressed in the run-up to this holiday with the ever changing Covid restrictions and asked so many questions which were all answered quickly and effectively. Debbie and Mecia really did go above and beyond to make sure the trip went without a hitch. I highly recommend Nordic Experience for a personal, professional and friendly service. As you can see we were very lucky to see the Northern Lights.

SCAMMERS! Nordic Experience were used by the lovely Hays Travel and honestly i don't know why they'd use them. I originally booked a trip via Hays with Nordic of nearly £2K to stay for 3 nights Hotel Iso Syote in Finland, half board, with transfers and with a "Husky Safari Experience" which cost £158 pp, not a cheap holiday! I booked the trip in November and unfortunately on December 21st the hotel burnt down! This was when the problems began.

Nordic Experience didn't deal with finding alternatives until the second week of January. They were sending suggestions such as no frills trips to iceland which they wanted me to pay close to an extra £1K for as they claimed there were no suitable alternatives for me "within budget". I think we all know how insurance works and that I should have been covered in a hotel of the same if not better standard. After refusing to pay extortionate uplifts for utterly sub-par alternatives i was forced to come up with solutions for Nordic Experience and Sally at Hays and I worked tirelessly to do their job for them. After a quick scan online i found some beautiful alternatives, closer to the airport than Iso Syote, with availability and presumed that being an "expert" Nordic Experience would be able to get better prices. This was not the case i still had to pay over £100 more and had to sort my own transfers.

With 3 weeks to go until my trip and rather than lose out altogether on what was a very special trip for my partner and I i went along with it. I hadn't received my tickets or anything from Nordic by Friday Feb 1st and i was due to leave at 2am on the monday so emailed them and as an aside checked the safari was still happening as they'd flagged the time had changed from 8am to 11am. What i failed to see in their long copy paste reply was that they'd changed the trip. No longer were we getting to "mush" our own huskies through the wilderness after driving snow mobiles to the specialist husky place, now we were getting a 2 hour snowmobile experience with an 8 minute husky sleigh ride (something they didn't specify but i found when out during the experience!). Locally this experience is charged at 20 euro pp and the snowmobile experience is 100euro for 2 adults for 2 hours. so the trip should have cost 120euro total not over £300! I think this level of deception is utterly deplorable and very underhand and after essentially sourcing my own stay with Hays, the one job of Nordic Experience the "experts" in the area this "husky Safari" was just another level on insult.

In doing some cost analysis i worked out that had i booked this trip myself, I could have saved myself nearly £600, the levels of laziness and incompetence not to mention underhand behaviour on the part of Nordic Experience is absolutely why people looked at me with incredulity when i said I used a travel agent because it is a rip off, i'm just very grateful to Sally at Hays for keeping me sane throughout the experience and helping me do battle with such a useless outfit.

Just returned from an amazing roadtrip to Iceland that was organised and booked by Nordic Experience, we stayed in some fab hotels and they gave us a detailed itinerary of where to go and what to see, so easy to deal with and always helpful in answering questions, highly recommend, I'm excited to see where else they go to.
