We have just spent an amazing 3 nights at No1 Little Barrow Barn. This place has everything you need for a stay away from home. Immaculately clean, comfy beds and powerful showers.

We had a party of 6 for our wedding celebration and this place was perfect to come together, relax with the stunning countryside views and watching the sunset of an evening. Thank you to Dawn and Kieran for a wonderful stay xx

Used this wonderful place as our base of operations over the Easter weekend where we walked Snowdon. The house is beautiful, wonderful condition and the hosts are very helpful. For example, there were 11 of us and they bought a foldable bed for the additional teenager. The facilities are more than you could need for a stay.
We would definitely go back, esp as we have not really spent any real time in Chester, a beautiful place and what looks like lots to do.
So why not 5 stars? Because you can't do 4.5 stars and 5 stars is perfection and really if you see the following example list of things not quite right, you can see it really is just small niggles: lock on one on-suite was broken, ( someone had obviously forced the door), floor being on two levels in the middle of the building for some reason, shower pressure not the best when all 3 showers in use, location means you have to have your own transport. If that list is a deal breaker, then you need to spend a lot more money and find somewhere else, but we'd say you are missing out on a great place to stay.

Wonderful.
My wife stayed here the night before our marriage. We then stayed after our wedding and the next night.

The double rooms are very spacious, it was clean
and the kitchen diner was just lovely.

Somehow on the morning after my wedding it was my task to cook breakfast for 10 people and this was easy in the spacious kitchen with 2 ovens.

Stunning views from the garden and back windows and a lovely cross between rustic and modern.

On the Sunday (check out was Monday). Housekeeping arrived and told us we could check out later on the Monday and not to rush - what a lovely personal touch 🙂

Absolutely stunning. Booked on the recommendation of our wedding venue for my family to stay during our wedding weekend. The house is absolutely gorgeous and as everything you could need, wonderfully clean, comfortable and feels luxurious and homely at the same time. We're very much looking forward to coming back.

We had a super stay here in autumn 2023. The barn is a beautiful place to stay, very spacious and comfortable. The owners couldn't have been more helpful about accommodating a member of the family who is disabled and with the ground floor bedroom, the property worked for them and their mobility scooter. Many places are totally inaccessible, so great to find one that wasn't where the family could get together. Would recommend!

Wow! Where to start!
We stayed here over Christmas 2022 and it was perfect from start to finish.
From our initial enquiry, Dawn was very responsive & helpful. She provided lots of useful information for local eatery’s & best farm shops to visit nearby.
We were blown away with the cleanliness, the welcome gifts, even the Christmas tree! It really did feel like a home from home (but far more luxury!).
The bedrooms were pristine (hotel standard) gloriously comfortable beds, crisp bed linen & towels, nice touches in the bathrooms with the shampoo/conditioner etc, plush carpets, underfloor heating, quick WiFi, Netflix & the gorgeous log burner! What more could you want- we didn’t want to leave!
The views are beautiful from the barn, the garden is huge with plenty of space for children to play. It was peaceful, private & quiet. Tucked away but close enough to amenities with chester only 10 mins away.
Dawn couldn’t have been more attentive during our stay (we even locked ourself out on Boxing Day and she had a spare key stashed for emergencies to save the day!).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend over and over. Don’t even think about it, just book it!! We can’t wait to come back!

A simply stunning venue set in a quiet, rural location only 10/15 minutes drive from Chester city centre. Beautifully decorated and furnished, this is a wonderful place for a break with family and/or friends.
