Just came back from the “India - Tigers and Taj Mahal” 11 day tour and have to say what great value it was … a most complete and professionally run tour that packed so much into each day!

From our initial booking through to the excellent tour manager Mr Bhanu Bhati we had zero issues. If anyone is concerned with the quality of food or the level of exercise then they shouldn’t be … all hotels were great and only one had problems with hot water for showers during our stay. Beds were comfy and aircon and free wifi all in abundance. Any longer journeys on Indias impressive motorway system had regular comfort breaks

We have been on the golden triangle tour twice now in 10 years and loved it each time … but this time I made a point of having my camera ready

The optional visit to Ranthambhore Fort was well worth the small expense and trips to the local market streets in Jaipur fascinating … and, yes, we succumbed and bought a Kashmir carpet that neatly folded into our suitcase!!

Finally our Tiger Safari at Vanaashrya was complete with close ups of tigress ST7 .. a safari that was easily arranged through the resort hotel for my wife and I

Really … we are exhausted and very happy with what has been one of our best ever guided trips with a superb tour manager in charge

Booked New Orleans , Mephis and Nashville tour. The experience was amazing our rep Julie was very knowledgeable and was there at the dropped of a hat. Bus driver Mike didn’t understand a word he said (lol southern accent ) I was in a wheelchair some days it was harder than others getting up and down stairs on bus ( maybe look for company that have a lift on bus would help ) first stop Alabama hotel room was clean and was the largest for wheelchair . New Orleans was amazing hotel room was clean and near facilities. Memphis Graceland was second to none hotel was spotless . Nashville hotel was clean room I found was a bit small would rather have been nearer to Nashville town as entertainment in hotel was not adequate for guests to enjoy . Wish you could fly direct to New Orleans will put a request on virgin website as Alabama has really got nothing to offer . Over all a great holiday touring the south would loved to have spent more time in New Orleans and Nashville , Memphis Graceland was amazing to see never went to Beale street as didn’t want to take the risk , hotel had great entertainment and was the best hotel out of all places 5 stars for that reason. Overall experience 5 star . Went on all excursions jazz boat was the only one I got bored towards the end, hall of fame , sun studios , Graceland , swamp , studio B were all amazing well worth booking excursions for sure. Wheelchair could get to most places for anyone who uses wheelchair. I have added a few pictures of different places . You won’t be disappointed

Belfast and the Titanic Experience, 24/3/24
Stayed at the Ibis Belfast City Centre Hotel, well placed and surprisingly quiet. An easy walk to the City Centre and attractions. Our Coach Driver and Courier were amazing, a real comedy double act and very efficient, as they were picking up from four other hotels. Apart from the very wet weather, we had a great time, including trips to the Giant's Causeway and the Crumlin Road Jail.

TOUR: DUBROVNIK, MONTENEGRO AND THE DALMATIAN COAST.

We spotted this tour advertised in the Daily Mail and it sounded lovely.
Worst holiday we have ever had. This is NOT a holiday for the elderly or infirm. I would say, almost without exception, everyone on this “tour” were of the same opinion.
We were expected to be on the coach by 8am or before, for every trip. Most days, we were on the coach from 5 hrs to 6.5hrs! It was relentless, exhausting. Most of us suffered oedema, swelling of our ankles and feet, caused by sitting in the coach for such long periods. The trip to Bosnia started at 7.45am and we got back to hotel at 6.45pm with a total of 6.5 hrs on coach.
The coach. Well, what can I say about that!
A coach that was well past it’s sell by date, so old that neither the driver or the tour guide would admit to it’s age. Along the centre of the ceiling were metal strips covering electrics. On one day, one strip fell off, hitting the man behind on his head and just missing my partner’s arm which, if it had hit him and caused bleeding, could have had disastrous consequences. On looking, the rest of the strips had already caused a similar problem as they had been secured with plastic ties. When we left coach for our excursion, on our return, the metal strip had also been secured with ties. There was torrential rain on the trip to Bosnia where rain came in. The tour guide said this was only because the rain was so heavy BUT my motorhome or my house would not have leaked. The windscreen wipers were struggling with rain and the demister appeared to not be working adequately.
The AC only appeared to be efficient for the last couple of days, following passengers complaining. The offside rear window was completely misted up and was impossible to view the scenery. The steps on exit halfway along were extremely narrow in depth, another hazard. The only good thing about the coach was the excellent driver Barbara.
Hotels - the first hotel The Ivando, certainly did not deserve a 4⭐️ rating. Most guests we spoke to did not get their rooms serviced during the 3 nights we stayed. We only got ours done on the last day, prior to leaving, because we complained. No USB points.
Dinner had to be ordered the night before and there was only 3 options. There was not one meal I enjoyed or even wanted to eat.
I did a review for this hotel, honest and unbiased, and they tried to block it but, fortunately, Google have now printed it so it is on their website.
The next hotel was far superior, although it was only rated 3⭐️. It was a proper hotel. Lovely swimming pool, wide variety of food on offer, gym, spa, lounge and bar. I did object though to having to pay €4 to play table tennis for half an hour😡.
We could not face another day in that awful coach and did not do the Montenegro tour not knowing how long we would be sat waiting to get through the border. Glad we didn’t as, despite the earliest start of them all, they did not return to the hotel until about 7.30pm.
EVERYBODY we spoke to were all of the same opinion. Too early starts and too long sat in the coach. We were asked to fill in a form giving our opinion of this tour and everyone we spoke to had voiced this opinion. NEWMARKET HOLIDAYS, obviously don’t care about their clients’ opinions as previous clients would have had the same itinerary.
I sincerely hope prospective clients read this review and don’t book this particular holiday.
We are now back at home and couldn’t wait to get back home.
Shame on Newmarket for expecting their clients to spend the majority of their day in what I can only describe as “a clapped out old coach”. 50 years ago, I worked part time for a company called Kings Ferry Coaches.
I was one of the first women to get a PSV licence and I helped out with driving or was a hostess as they catered for the likes of Elton John. Their coaches, 50 years ago, were far superior to this coach.

Newmarket as a company are excellent we have used them many times and been very happy.
Our last holiday was in Oct 24 to Lake Como. This is a very beautiful area and we had a lovely tour meeting some lovely people. Our tour guide Ellie was excellent who was always friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable.
Our only gripe was Hotel Griso which although beautiful with excellent views and lovely restaurant, although the menu doesn't change. The breakfast was excellent. However the staff like the word no. I asked for a can of sprite at 11pm and was told no bar after 11, also it doesn't open until 5pm, although manned. The Bar doubles as reception which lacks atmosphere and adequate seating. There is another bar upstairs near the restaurant which is cosy and nice but always cosed and if you ask for a drink there the answer is no. They provided us with the worst packed lunch I have ever seen. So we were overall unimpressed with the hotel.
The trips on the holiday were well run and very interesting.

I am yet to actually get to go on a newmarket holiday as they either keep cancelling or changing them so significantly that we are unable to go. This is the 5th holiday booked through newmarket. I have just paid my final payment last week to literally just receive a phone call from Hays Travel telling me that newmarket has decided to downsize the tour meaning the dates have changed. A tour that had a final payment date of 23/01/25. You would have thought that any adjustments would be made before the final payment needs making as this means it is to late for me to make any amendments, apparently not the same set of rules for the company themselves. So far it's amazing that this company is still active. My money has been caught up with them for the best part of 4/5 years and quite frankly I can not wait to see the back of them and either receive my entire money back, or there best be an exceptionally good holiday waiting. I have not once been offered a refund for any difference in the holidays that they have changed, which also means they are profiting from many customers who's holidays have been changed. They tried changing our flights with Qatar Airways to Ethiopian Airways and told us there was no price difference.... yea right. Scamming and fraudulent. Most certainly will never touch them again

Just got back from a week in Lake Garda at the Savoy Palace Hotel. Newmarkets four organised coach trips were first rate with perfect punctuality, excellent guides and super coaches and drivers. Venice was the highlight! Their end of the holiday we couldn’t criticise.
The hotel was of an excellent standard with a good breakfast but the evening half board meals were tiny portions and disappointing.
Staff were nice but this hotel caters very much to a German market and we definitely felt like second class guests.
Easy jet however were an absolute disgrace with a 2 and a half hour delay out of Gatwick and 1 hour forty five minute delay on the return! This carrier are a bunch of incompetent amateurs. NEVER again with a budget carrier and Newmarket need to drop them pronto!
The flight is only 1 hour and 40 mins as it’s only 650 miles to Verona yet we left home at 2pm for a 6pm flight and didn’t arrive at our hotel until 01.30am which is frankly ridiculous! Catching any plane should be like catching a bus! Airline travel has gone seriously backwards in the last 30 years!
Next year we will cruise from Southampton or holiday in the UK as we have no patience left for airlines.
This was not Newmarkets fault however and we would definitely recommend them as a holiday company.
Lake Garda and all of Northern Italy is simply stunning and highly recommended as an adult holiday.
Holiday would have been 10/10 if it were not for sleezy Jet!
