We visited Newell's in Tavistock with a view to exploring the possibilities of a short notice holiday. We did not really know where to go. Sue and the team asked us simple questions about likes and dislikes. A suggestion of theirs being Marrakesh which was a little outside our comfort zone but later we found out that family members had been there previously so we bit the bullet and booked to go. Sue set our expectations. We had a very enjoyable holiday, with lots of “experiences”.

We have been booking with Newell's in Tavistock for several years and Sharon has helped us organise some amazing holidays. She (and the rest of the team) is knowledgeable, efficient and happy to share her vast experience of travelling. She knows what would suit us and we're happy to take her advice. It is often the little things that make the difference such as completing an arrival card online before the flight or sorting visas and other paperwork. The girls made sorting flights to various sit my brother in Australia a pleasure and we had a good laugh. Natalie gave me some places in and around Perth to visit they were all exceptional. Sue sorted the flights and then went 1 step further and gave me the name of an amazing taxi service to and from airport. When I experienced troubles with my return flight I called them and Sharon sorted my return flight as I was getting nothing from the airline. These girls go above and beyond for their clients. They make the experience of arranging flights very personal which makes the customer feel supported. Thank you I will always book through you guys

Booking our holiday was an absolute delight. Staff are wonderful, friendly and professional. Really easy process and the lovely lady we saw at time of booking was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in finding our ideal Mother & Daughter holiday in the Greek Islands. At the best possible price too, easily beating the deals I’d looked at on the web. I have booked online in the past and won’t bother again. I will go straight back to Newell’s 🙂

We wanted a late summer break with sun preferably at a quiet and peaceful Greek island resort. Alison at the Tavistock branch suggested Kefalonia and a small resort advertised in the Jet2 brochure at Lourdata near Argostoli, and even let us borrow her own guide to the island to assist us. We choose the Maria Anna hotel that was two star but looked small, peaceful but would cater to all our needs.
The advantage of a ‘package’ holiday, something we hadn’t done for years, was that Newell’s made the booking, arranged specific seating and catering needs in the plane and all covered by the ATOL/ABTA guarantees, and even printed off our boarding passes.
The check in was superb, flights very good and the bonus of only about a 40 minute transfer at the other end.
Hotel was actually in Vlachata about a mile from Lourdas beach at a higher level. Slope down to hotel of about 25 metres a little steep, but what a hotel. Gregor and his wife couldn’t have done more to make our holiday really enjoyable. All staff brilliant with such high cleanliness levels and service to match. Glad we were at Vlachata as a good choice of tavernas compared to very little at Loudata except a wonderful beach and one or two tavernas. Even a bus service at €2 between them.
All in all a superb break with a great holiday company but made so easy and pleasurable by Newell’s Travel in Tavistock, thanks again to Alison and colleagues who made it so easy.
