I had a fantastic true crime tour with Fran, who was super knowledgeable, friendly and fun! She really brought the stories to life. The tour gave a brilliant sense of what’s shaped the city and I loved seeing the hidden corners I would have never found myself. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Anna and Newcastle Tour Co. We were a party of six and did a full day tour of Hadrian’s Wall and County Durham. Spectacular Roman ruins, with a world class museum, Vindolanda Fort & Museum. Great pubs for lunch and refreshments. Do not hesitate to book a tour with Newcastle Tour Co.

I went on the True Crime Tour of Newcastle and would highly recommend!! The tour was super interesting and entertaining and the tour guide Fran was really friendly and answered any question I had about Newcastle. She made true crime really fun and engaging which I didn't know was possible! It was amazing to learn so much about the city I've been living in for so long so I would really recommend to locals as well as visitors!

I've seen quite a few Roman ruins around the Mediterranean but viewing the northern borders, specifically Hadrian's Wall had escaped me, until this past August. We (5) were traveling from London to Edinburgh by train and having a hard time figuring out how to do this when I contacted Northern Secrets. Alex figured it all out and set up an amzaing experience. Our incredible guide and expert, Fran met us at the train and along with Paul our driver, we set off a fantastic tour. We hit all the best spots and Fran was a delight and had such great in-depth knowledge of that period. She really made the history come alive and pointed out many things we would have missed. Highly recommend this company -- great communications, very responsive.

The Posh Parks Cycle Tour was a real highlight of our recent visit to Newcastle. I had no idea that such beautiful scenery and quirky places lay so close to the city centre. It starts on the waterfront and goes along pretty riverside paths through Jesmond Dene before coming out at Town Moor. Much of the route is along cycle paths or quiet roads and it's mostly flat with just a few short hills so it's great for families. Our guide Anna was terrific. She devised the tour herself while cycling around with her own kids so it's very child-friendly. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and delivers all the information about it in a fun way so my kids - aged 12 and 15 - were engaged the whole time. I would definitely recommend this. It's great fun and you get to see Newcastle in a whole new light.
