I need to hire a vehicle big to carry 3 adults and 1 child plus luggage and a mobility scooter. I spoke to Enterprise but all they could offer was a Ford Galaxy or something very similar but I explained that the luggage area wouldn’t be big enough, also all the additional insurances and large deposit made the hire excessively expensive, so a quick phone call to Newark self drive hire my enquiry was treated professionally and politely, they suggested a crew cab van which could seat up 6 people and enough luggage space even my wife and mother-in-law couldn’t fill.
The overall cost was lower than the competition, even when I requested the additional the additional insurances which I requested just in case anything happened during the hire period.
From my initial enquiry to returning the vehicle everyone I dealt with were friendly, professional and polite.
I’ll be booking the type of vehicle again and I’ll definitely be using Newark Self Drive Hire again

I really liked the attitude of the staff at Newark Self Drive Hire - professional, friendly, informative and helpful from start to finish. Charges were very fair and competitive - especially the 'weekend deal' we opted for. The van I hired was clean, easy to use and perfect for the task it was needed for. Couldn't fault this company and will definitely use them again should I need to hire a van. Highly recommended.

Used these guys in this location and in the 'time before'.
They've always been helpful, professional and 'up-front'.
The vans are good. I'm not sure about absolute price but it's so easy to hire from them and I've never been disappointed, so I keep going back.
Their location is also handy NOT being in the middle of town.

We rented a van this last weekend. The staff at NVH couldn’t have been nicer - cheerful, helpful and efficient. The van was exactly what was needed, very clean and did the job perfectly. I will definitely use them again, and will go to them the next time I need tyres. Well done! Highly recommended. We did have to buy our own Yorkie bars though!!
