It's an amazing place to visit especially when they've got the illuminations on the whole place is lit up. It's a bit dark in places so it is recommended that you take a torch with you but other than that it's very well lit. You can even have a go at toasting marshmallows over a fire pit they're not your little marshmallows but the giant ones our youngest enjoyed toasting his even though he toasted them a bit much the marshmallow was on fire he loved it. The night we visited it was cold and drizzly but that didn't put us off we had a great night.

As locals were walk in the grounds nearly everyday. There is something lovely to see at every turn in the cleverly designed gardens. The arboretum is peaceful and the Trent runs parallel. You are guaranteed to see wildlife from deer to squirrels; herons to swans.

We had 2 free national trust tickets to use. The normal price is around £15 each. We parked up on a large car park. Had a warm welcome, and a nice lady showed us a map where to go. I believe the area outside Shugborough Hall is free to walk with dogs. Lots of places to walk with interesting monuments, loads of history inside the manor. Great onside facilities. Child and pet friendly atmosphere. We left early but could spend all day.

Another lovely family visit to Shugborough on a sunny crisp Nov Saturday, one of our very favourite NT places to go. Car park very well organised, staff very pleasant throughout. Such lovely grounds, nice cafes, very dog friendly (even though they could do with more doggy bins around). It never fails to disappoint 🙂

We attended Shugborough Xmas light show 'Luminate' as a family, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We booked tickets in advance. It was approximately a mile walk around the grounds where the pathways, and buildings were lit. Along the way you could stop off for food and drinks. We ate doughnuts, and had a cup of hot chocolate, and tea. On the whole it was a nice experience for 1-2 hours.

Very interesting farm, hall and gardens. Two cafes, toilets, dogs allowed but no cycling. Lots of parking, watch the big train go into the tunnel where the arch is! Lovely to walk round

Another beautiful National Trust property. The house is a mixture of old living and new living, which is great. There are plenty of places to eat or get a drink, but the restaurant does get busy, but we did visit in the school holidays. It's definitely worth a visit.

Great estate to visit for the whole family. The gardens and trails are very well maintained and the mansion house is kept well and maintained to a great standard so all can enjoy the grandeur of this place. When you walk along like trails you can always spot farm animals around which is a big plus the kids will love the sheep, cows and chickens. Overall you can spend a long time here. They also have a great cafe like most national trust places
