Visitors rave about the beautiful scenic walking routes and breathtaking viewings towers. The park is great for walking dogs and letting kids explore the forest. There are plenty of rhododendrons, which would be beautiful during the season. The park also features a coffee shop, food, and toilets.

One visitor mentioned that there is no house or estate, just a cafe and book shop, but still great for walking. Another visitor enjoyed a lovely sunny Autumn walk, noting that the park is not crowded, making it a perfect place to see seasonal changes. The wide path and lots of space make this park an enjoyable place for all.

For anyone looking to explore Sheringham Park, it is highly recommended to visit the park, go for a hike, and enjoy the natural beauty. The park offers a variety of onsite services and amenities, making it suitable for all ages and abilities.

Great for walking dogs and letting kids explore the forest. Loads of rhododendrons which would be beautiful on season. Only dropped a star as there is no house or estate, jusy a cafe and book shop, but still great for walking.

We had a great time walking and exploring Sheringham Park. Lovely walking routes mapped out, alternatively you can freely wonder the 1,000 acres as you wish. Very tranquil and some beautiful scenery.

There are some lovely areas for a picnic, with various benches around the park to take a break along your walking route. We also discovered access to The Dales Country House & Hotel whilst walking the ‘pink’ route. You can leave the park via a gate and enjoy a nice lunch or just a drink along the way (it’s right near the temple) then rejoin the route back to the car park.

Plenty of parking + overflow for busier days. Electric vehicle charging is also available.

There is a cafe on site and somewhere to get an ice cream too.

Park Runs are a regular here every Saturday.

Dog Friendly 🐶 the request is to please keep your dog on a lead…which is always much better for everyone 👍

Parking is currently £6.50 per day (June 2024) free to NT members. A great value day out.

Pleasant walks offered on a variety of waymarked trails all of different lengths.
Great views out to the coast and Cley Mill.
I went in August when most of the flowering plants (esp the rhodies) were past their best, late May would be best.
Visited 2 of the viewing platforms, which had disappointing views....tree canopy abd not much else!

My first time there with my friend and dog. Lovely walks and stunning scenery. A lovely day out for everyone. There are plenty of maps and the routes are colour coded to help you plan your walk. There's a nice cafe too for refreshments. Well worth a visit.

Amazing National Trust. We went with our baby and dog. Had a great time. The routes are very fun and everyone is very helpful. There's lots of parking on site, too. If you're taking a pram, It's pram friendly. I would recommend a carrier for a baby as you can venture further, like the train bridge or closer to the sea.

We've never visited Sheringham Park before but will again. Free to enter bar paying for parking, it's a beautiful place to visit. Friendly staff, walks through the extensive woods and a field full of badminton, football, tennis, cricket and rounders for the kids (part of the Summer of Play on offer at NT places). After a coffee at the courtyard and toilet stop (it's a long way to the next one!), we headed for the viewing platform or gazebo which gives you views right across the landscape including the sea and if you're lucky a passing steam train. The station and the walk to it was fabulous, very oldey worldy, it can be accessed from the park if you're ok with an uneven track (it's off the hard surface of the main circular walks which are ideal for those less able, in wheelchairs or those who choose to use the onsite trampers). We had a picnic at the station (refreshments and toilets also available there). We could have hopped on the train to Sheringham but headed back to the car through the park. It took about an hour to get back dependent on how fast you walk. A great way to spend a day, thank you Sheringham and NT staff/volunteers!
