Very enjoyable walk, I did the long hike along the purple route, and FYI, stay on the level path beside the river after you have left the old mill cafe and crossed over to LHS on the river going away from cafe. Eventually, you'll come to a fork in the path, take the left one.

Fantastic day. Such a scenic place, ample parking, friendly attendants.
Clear signposting to help the weary walker (2 children in tow) lots and lots of opportunities to explore and take rest stops.
I cannot say enough positive things, we spent all day here enjoying the views, sounds and treks. Loved every minute.
The cafe was great, facilities appropriate and ideally placed. We took our own picnic but didn't prevent us from getting ice cream YUM. Highly recommend a visit to the Crags.. we will be back.

Beautiful walk along Hebden Beck towards Gibson Mill and beyond, decent sized car park at £5 for the day with a nice chap watching over the cars at Midgehole Carpark (cash only )so take change, all though the chap at the car park did have lots of change in his hut for parking. Dogs loved it and very enjoyable days walking.

Nice walk along the river but very stoney. Consider using the road if you are not good walking on rocks and using steps. Disappointed in the food offering compared with other OT places. Prices are O/top as in other NT cafes

Parked here for walking routes around Hardcastle Crags and Gibson Mill - perfect spot. We didn't pay parking as the machine wasn't working and there was no signal to pay online. Not a huge car park but there is a couple more parking spaces further up the road I noticed.
A little tip - before you leave the car park, take a photo on your phone of the board map for your reference when on the routes - the purple route had a marker missing at a certain point along the way ( along Midgehole Road when walking the combined purple and green route, there is a green arrow pointing to go left - there should also be a purple one too but it isn't there ) and if it wasn't for the photo I'd took we would probably be en route to London 🤦‍♀️.
The walks are fab - absolutely beautiful area!!! Make sure to wear walking boots as the ground alternates between stones, boulders, wet stepping stones, dry stepping stones, waterfalls, springs, mud, leaves, roots and all the rest. All of the routes are a little uneven in some way and also up/down hill. There are plenty of picnic tables dotted around the routes. There is a cafe at the Mill but we didn't use this as we had our own food/drinks so can't really comment on that.
Toilets at car park and at the Mill.
The dog litter bins are mainly at the end/beginning of each route - is what it is, so you just have to carry the poop bag until you find one - perks of being a dog owner lol.
Highly recommend paying a visit, was worth the drive and would definitely go again.

Well organised car park. Picnic tables. Friendly staff , with helpful suggestions on how to get the best from the valley. Long walk to the craggs, but well worth it.

It was so lovely. Perfect weather. There are so many paths to take, and the view is beautiful. I advise to go to a parking and pay just £5 then to park on a street. On eater weekend, Saturday, lots of ppl parked on street and got tickets.

The car park is nothing special but Hardcastle Crags that it serves is an excellent place to enjoy nature. Great for kids and dogs. Wonderful Bluebells in spring. I particularly like the walk by the beck.
