Lovely place for a walk. The car park can get quite busy, especially on a good and bright day, so get there early! Also....if you own a massive SUV/Landrover/Any overly sized car, please park responsibly and courteously.

Beautiful area of chalk downland with wooded valleys and open hills offering stunning views over the village of South Harting and further over West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. On a clear day Portsmouth is visible from the highest summit. Paths are well marked and signposted but retain a pleasantly natural feel. There's a good size parking area free for National Trust members, though no other on-site facilities. Some of the hills are a steep climb but worth the effort for the views. It's worth crossing the road from the parking area to see the ruined tower at the edge of the Uppark estate - it's fully fenced in and very overgrown, but an atmospheric location.

We did 9.5 km walk around South Harting to the trig point. Then into South Harting to The White Hart for a small lunch and up the hill back to car park. Excellent walk! Great car park! Beautiful views 👍😁

Great place to come for long country walks.

Can be hilly in some areas, but worth it.

An amazing views from the top of the hill.

The historical Vandalian Tower located on the top of the hill too. Although be prepared - the walk to the top can be a bit steep.

Very handy National trust car park in the area.

Definitely recommend it!

Beautiful, Beautiful place. Hours of walks that you can do across fields and through forests. Incredible views from the raised elevation right fro the start.

We will be heading back there to try out the many different routes. You can do a small 30 minutes, or you could do routes that take a few hours or even go to another town, village or area.

Just another beautiful place on the south coast. Great healthy exercise.

Perfect place for parking up to admire the view and to walk the South Downs Path. Stunning views for me on a sunny day. No facilities available - just the car park - charges for parking for non National Trust members. Easy access to a variety of walks.
