Lovely stay for the 2nd time at on the water 3. Comfy and practical for the 3 of us to stay. So quiet and peaceful even though you are in the middle of the marina. Amazing views and fully equipped for a comfy stay.
Thank you

Run, run, run away! This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. I paid Ā£4,558 for a 33-day stay, expecting comfort and peace, only to arrive and find relentless, loud construction taking place in the building. I was never informed of this beforehand—despite your claim that I had been notified. The only email I received was about the deposit payment, which was strategically sent to ensure I was locked in and paid in full, with no mention of the unbearable construction.

I am still trying to find the notification you claim to have sent, but all I can see is that the request for the deposit was carefully crafted to hide the extent of the disturbance and mislead me. This experience has not only been extremely disappointing but has also put my health at risk.

Update: Things have only gotten worse. Today, there was a severe water leak in the apartment, flooding the space and causing further damage. The fire alarm went off, and emergency services had to intervene, making the situation even more dangerous. The leak affected my belongings, including important medications for my heart and kidney condition, which puts my health at even greater risk. As if this wasn’t enough, I was forced to relocate to a much cheaper, significantly inferior apartment with two single beds—an option that is far below what I paid for and unacceptable given the circumstances.

If only you could experience the chaos and distress this has caused, you might understand the sheer level of danger and frustration I’ve endured. This has been more than an inconvenience—it’s been a hazardous, health-threatening disaster.

Our stay at this property in Brighton was very disappointing. The apartment was in poor condition: broken and dusty blinds, mold on the ceilings and walls, and visible damage to the walls. These conditions are unsafe and unsanitary.

We found a stain on the sofa bed that we had to clean ourselves, which was distressing. The host’s compensation offer did not adequately address these serious issues.

We declined maintenance and cleaning during our stay due to privacy and security concerns. The property needs significant maintenance and thorough cleaning before it is suitable for guests.

I advise potential guests to consider other options until these issues are resolved.

This company is a scam and frankly should not be trusted. They make any and every excuse to keep your deposit. They claim to have a 24/7 emergency number should you have any issues after 9pm - this number is outsourced to a call center in the Philippines where no one answers or can help you in a timely manner. The properties they manage are dated, moldy and don’t look like their pictures, it’s simply false advertising. If you see ANY property managed by them, DO NOT BOOK. Save yourself the headache and your deposit.

Couldn’t wait to get out of there. It is currently a building site which is not mentioned prior to arrival, so we were woken insanely early by drilling above our heads. We barely slept anyway as the bed was so uncomfortable, that, plus the single glazing windows meaning you hear all the noise in the streets throughout the night-people shouting in the night, the builders, deliveries, crashes of rubble. Ruined our next day as my back was in agony and we were all quite sleep deprived.

The beds are too small, my husband is 5ft 8 and it was too small for him that plus you basically sleep on the base of the bed as the mattress is so awful. The bathrooms are also small, family one an ok size but the en-suite is so small you can barely sit on the toilet. The sinks are so tiny they’re built for dolls houses. If anyone wanted to shave in there or wash your face the floor and toilet ends up soaking wet. Windows filthy and covered in scaffolding so you can barely see out.

The other thing to mention is the bombardment of messages you get from them, from the minute we booked I was hounded via emails and text for ID proving who I was in order to confirm the booking and then after providing this a request for a £500 damage deposit otherwise my stay would be cancelled!!!

Quite a lot of money for staying on a building site, I feel sorry for anyone staying for more than one night.

We stayed at Sunshine Central and it was very dirty. Moldy, someone else’s hair in the rooms and showers. Steven didn’t want to help, he just wanted to argue. It was also like staying in a hostel which was not what it looked like online. Just read the reviews. You’ll see the same response from the owner with the same complaints from the renters. Avoid.

I have no idea how they even have 4 stars on here but if I could give them a zero I would.
I booked through booking.com (thank goodness) and from what I can see they have more than one properly so I’m going to assume the one me and my friends stayed at has not been booked in a long time.
When we got there we were hit by a strong smell of damp which we thought would disappear once we cracked a window open. Went and checked out the rest of the property only to find mould all over the kitchen walls, around the bathroom door and ceiling and I can guarantee there was mould in the bed room too but the cupboards were boarded up (assuming to cover the mould) as that’s where it smelled the strongest. The covers and pillows were in the cupboard which smelled of damp so we had to leave the property to go and buy laundry detergent. In the rain. We contacted customer services straight away but of course they did not take it seriously. They ignored my complaint about the mould and smell and focused on the fact that there was absolutely no phone signal in the property. I contacted Booking.com who were a lot more helpful but because of the time we had no time to move to a different property. There were so many drain flies which of course isn’t shocking considering it’s the perfect place for them to live. What’s more gross is that the bathroom sink was partly blocked so as we’re using the sink we had deal with dead flies in the water. I honestly can not even begin to explain my experience but it was disgusting on a whole
Different level. no phone network in there so we had to stand outside in the rain waiting to hear from someone. I was being completely ignored by customer service (I have screen shots) so do not expect them to help at all. I made it clear that I wanted someone to come and check the property whilst we are there because just from the messages I knew they would not take it seriously. We paid £285 to live in that. We had to leave the windows open whilst it was raining and very windy. It was that or having to live in that smell. We used the laundry detergent we bought and mixed that with some hot water to get rid of some of the smell.
I am still waiting for them to back to me after being told that maintenance had checked the property after we had left and it’s not as bad as we made out!!!! I was not surprised at all by this response even though I sent many pictures to them. Are the pictures lying?
Honestly, just avoid booking with them. They are greedy and don’t care about their customers at all. They offered me Ā£50 as a goodwill gesture?!!!! Good will? I would not even have paid Ā£50 to stay there let alone Ā£285!!!!!!

EDIT- I was refused compensation as I wrote this review. If I had stayed quite then just maybe they would have handled my complaint as any other business would.
Unfortunately they never got back to me which I’m not surprised to say the least.

We booked an apartment for a lovely break in Brighton, the property was exceptionally clean and tidy and very well presented. It's great that Mygetaways are available on the phone very easily whenever you need them, we found Hombakazi incredibly helpful and called back as promised.
Location was great (Queens Road).
