We had a fantastic day canyoning at Cautley Spout.
Lee is a gentleman and made safety a priority throughout the trip.
He shared his expertise and made the adventure enjoyable and engaging.
He was a pleasure to spend the day with.
I feel he is much better than similar companies due to the fact he runs his business with a personal touch and puts safety as his number one priority.

Great activity, our instructor Lee was very friendly and knowledgeable about the whole experience. Felt very safe throughout the 3 hour activity and had so much fun! I would recommend this for anyone who loves water activities! We will definitely be back!

Our same group went ghyll scrambling in 2023 with another guide and Lee's service in April 2024 was significantly better for the same price. Great suits, good instructions, very accommodating to people's abilities and great communication before the trip. He clearly knows all the ghylls which are accessible in The Lakes and when is best to visit them. The hot drinks and home-made flapjacks at the end were a bonus, hugely appreciated by everyone in our group. Will definitely book with Mountain Rat again. Top class.

Lee sorted me right out while I was organising my friends' stag/hen weekend. He was flexible and easy to contact and helped me get everything sorted in advance. On the day, Lee was an absolute hoot! He made us all feel safe, relaxed and able to really enjoy our experience! We were all beaming the whole time and will definitely look to book another adventure with Mountain Rat Adventures! An amazing experience today with Lee as our guide canyoning. Myself and my boyfriend were in extremely safe and experienced hands. Lee showed us the beauty that the Lakes have to offer behind the super views, it was an amazing experience. To top it off, Lee had a cup of tea for us back at the van and a flapjack too. Would defiantly adventure with Lee again and we look forward to returning to the Lakes in the future and undertaking another adventure with him by our side. Thanks again.
