A slice of paradise. I try and visit at least once a week for a dose of nature. Lots of places to walk and the geese and ducks are super cute. Also the pond truly is a thing of beauty in the sun light.

A lovely common with lots of wildlife and plenty of places to sit and admire the views. More bins would be handy!

Last year, we had very bad experience on food and service.
But this time, we didn't have any other place to go with young kids near by.
Unexpectedly this time, the food and service are all great.
Steak was as it should be and we could see enough staff to serve all customers.

This visit was 5 stars.

Lovely place to take a stroll, very peaceful. Plenty of trails to walk.
worth a visit to and a walk around the numerous ponds found on mitcham Common.
7 islands being the biggest and the most popular of the ponds. Lots of wildlife to see and lots of fledgling birds around 7 island pond at this time of the year (May)
Overall a very nice place to be.

A fantastic wildlife hot-spot in the Croydon area, walkable from so many areas (tram and bus stops nearby). So many different birds. Families picnic near the ponds. Google maps had all the footpaths drawn on so easy to navigate around the space. Busy roads cut through the park, and can be hidden so be careful with kids crossing them.

Nice open space in the heart of housing/industrial sites. If it wasn’t for the aircraft overhead you’d think you were in the countryside. Good for dog walkers. Some duck ponds and lots of crisscrossed paths. A great local amenity but probably not something you’d travel to see specifically.

A huge area with old trees, meadows and a pond with lots of geese...lovely walks possible with the dog. If you want a nice, fairly quiet common area, this is the one to go to.

A very beautiful escape from the concrete of South London. A gem of nature that you won't find in your local town centres. A place where you can unwind amongst this local beauty.

You can go on very nice walks across different landscapes. Landscapes include the different ponds, grasslands, forests and spots where ant hills are in abundance.

If you like run there are lots of cross country routes.

Types of animals which I've seen include Rabbits, Foxes, Egyptian Geese, Canadian Geese, Woodpeckers, Stalks, Green Snake, Frogs, Camourant, plus many more. A great place to see animal's you don't see every day.

If you need to escape the hustle & bustle, this is a great place on your doorstep.
