The staff at this hotel are second to none. Each and every one went out of there way on different occasions to ensure we had the best holiday ever. Craig, you and your team gave us the best time with there friendly manner. Our room was brilliant, chef was different class and our food was 5 star. My wife is gluten intolerant, and they went out there way to make sure she ate well. If I could give ten stars, it would be to this hotel and the staff. I will recommend highly to everyone who asks. Thanks team, Scott and Lorna 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

My husband and I recently enjoyed a meal at the Pier Hotel. The food was cooked to perfection—my husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak pie (best he's had in a long time), and was impressed that the meat came from The Cumbrae Butcher also on the island. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick with service. The atmosphere was lively with great entertainment, adding to the vibrant island vibe. While we didn’t sit outside, we were really impressed by the outdoor seating area and look forward to returning to enjoy it on a future visit.

I knew the Pier Hotel had been refurbished (thank you to My Scottish Island FB site). We headed there for a quick lunch. 6 of us ranging in ages from 15-77 and a dog. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside overlooking the bay. Dogs are allowed inside too. 2 of us just had a Mug of very good coffee, so pleased to have a mug! The rest had cheesy chips, onion rings and pop. Good portions, hot and very tasty, pop was nice and cold. Water and bitterly supplied for the dog. Really lovely place to sit and wished we could have stayed longer.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, period! Everyone is incredibly welcoming and kind. The rooms are very homey and comfortable. Breakfast was home cooked, traditional, and delicious! Definitely book a room with a view! The island itself is wonderful. We highly recommend the butchery! Do be sure to get your food earlier in the afternoon though as most restaraunts close at 19.30.

We stayed in the suit on the first floor. It was very pleasant. Lots of space and brilliant views of Millport Harbour. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was amazing, with lots of different settings. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and Adam bought us an anniversary card, which was lovely. The hotel is comfortable, friendly and welcoming. Adam and the staff are excellent. Enjoyed the breakfast and food in the evening as well. Many thanks. Will definitely be back.

Came for lunch yesterday as had a day off work and fancied a wee ferry trip across and a walk along the seaside. Got the Lentil Soup to start, was absolutely amazing. Then had the steak pie, portion was massive. Stew was beautiful, and gravy was very nice as was the pastry.

Nice clean pint of Tennant's as well. All for under £25. Seriously impressive pricing for a good location and solid food. Sidenote advice :- You need to either ditch the Garden Menu or do something different. For someone to be told in a previous review it's physically impossible to have soup outside is an absolutely wild take and if I was told this today, which I did contemplate doing, I'd have likely left as it was a fairly nice day but the Garden was very busy today so sat inside instead.

There's absolutely no reason why your inside menu doesn't translate outside. It's on plates, and it's food..... I can't make it any simpler than that. You'd essentially be making your life ten times easier if you just stuck to one menu that's practically the same anyways, and then if people want to come in and order fish and chips to go so we they can walk along the pier, win win as it leaves more room for bums on seats. Think smarter, not harder guys. 10/10 experience nonetheless and shall be back.
