Historic house and gardens run by a local charity. Super friendly and helpful staff, lots of interesting information dotted around.

Very nice walled garden and larger estate to walk around too. Not very "accessible" if you have mobility issues

Blacksmith on site too, who gives demonstrations and you can pre-book for 1 day taster/training courses

Small shopping area next to the car park with good cafe

Lovely place to go, definitely go when the wisteria is in bloom in the garden it's so beautiful would love to see the garden when the picked flowers have all grown.

They are dog friendly can go around the grounds n in the garden can't go in the hall though.
There are activities for the kids as you go around the hall. After you have been around go bk to the courtyard and have a look at the little shops and cafe. We had the lovely ice-cream in the pots so delicious especially on a warm day.

We were there about 2 hrs didn't go watch the black smith though. Haven't got that big of a nature walk would of been nice if u could walk around the lake

Can get busy as they have coach loads it opened for 11.00 today so was there from the beginning

Lovely visit. The hall and museums were very interesting and the gardens and nature trail, with the lakeside setting were very picturesque. We also enjoyed visiting the courtyard and shops and browsing the second hand bookshop.

This place is not far from Drayton Bassett/Drayton Manor Theme Park.
Really good example of 500 + yr old living and there's also a semi stately home, Victorian walled garden, The Robert Peel Police museum, lovely gardens, nature walk by the lake, a courtyard with cafe, craft shops, etc.
Currently less than a tenner to get in so good value for money and a nice afternoon or day out if the weather is nice.

On a nice day it's a good place to hang out, but the nature trail is part closed (ostensibly because of HS2?) but the house is not open and overall it's not that interesting - there's more interest in the RSPB reserve next door.

There's a small bit you can go to buy some stuff and a cafe which is pretty slow (read: busy and small kitchen).
