Unforgettable Custom Tour with Mick’s Tours Belfast!

We had an incredible experience with Mick’s Tours Belfast! Mick picked us up early at the port to ensure we made the most of our day before returning to our cruise — and he got us back with plenty of time to spare, stress-free.

Mick was a great guide. He was easy to reach and communicate with prior to finalizing our plans. We learned a lot and he had a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experiences to share.

The tour was completely customized to what we wanted to see, hitting all the major highlights (Giants Causeway & Peace Walls) and some hidden gems. He even helped me come up with a surprise stop for my wife — such a personal and memorable touch!

His vehicle was spotless and comfortable, stocked with snacks, drinks, and even clever props to help explain the history and stories behind the sights. Mick’s knowledge, humor, and genuine warmth made it feel like we were exploring Belfast with a friend.

We had an amazing time and highly recommend Mick’s Tours to anyone looking for a top-tier private experience in Belfast. We accomplished so much more than what our cruise line offered and did it on our own pace. Don’t miss out — this was one of the best parts of our entire trip!

Mick was fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. He took us all over Belfast, sharing history in a way that was both enjoyable and meaningful. From the Peace Wall to the Giant’s Causeway, a great little lunch stop, an old castle, and the Titanic Museum, it was a day full of memorable experiences.

What really stood out was how helpful he was with my dad, who has some mobility issues. Mick made sure he was comfortable every step of the way, even arranging a scooter at the museum. His thoughtfulness and attention made a huge difference.

Highly recommend him if you’re visiting Belfast or Northern Ireland. He turned a good day into a great one.

We had an amazing experience with our private guided tour from Belfast to the Giant’s Causeway, The Dark Hedges, and a breath-taking scenic coastal drive along Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast. From start to finish, our driver-guide was absolutely fantastic!

He picked us up right on time from our Belfast apartment in a comfortable and clean vehicle, making the whole day seamless and stress-free. His knowledge of Northern Ireland’s history, legends, and landscapes was exceptional—he kept us engaged and entertained the entire time.

Traveling with two young children can be a challenge, but he was incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful with our boys. He made sure to tailor the experience for them too, pointing out fun facts and making plenty of stops for breaks, photos, and snacks. Mick even included a video for the boys to watch about the story behind the causeway, and a challenge for them to find things whilst we was there. It felt like a day out with a trusted family friend.

What really stood out was his flexibility and personalised approach—he allowed us to explore at our own pace, added little surprises along the way including some Crisps which the boys loved! , and made sure we didn’t miss any must-see views or hidden gems.

If you're looking for a private day tour from Belfast with a local guide, this is absolutely the way to go. It was the highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone wanting a relaxed, informative, and scenic tour of the Antrim Coast and beyond.

We spent an incredible 3 days with Michael Smith from Micks Tours Belfast. On Day 1, he took the 8 of us around Belfast, stopping at the castle, Peace Wall, Belfast City Hall and the Titanic Museum. He explained what it was like to live in Belfast during The Troubles, which gave us a glimpse of the challenges during that time period.

Day 2 had us going out of the city to County Antrim, stopping at Carrickfergus Castle, Glenariff Forest Park (beautiful waterfall), and Lunch at the wonderful Fullerton Arms pub. In the afternoon, we continued on to the Giants causeway (amazing place) and finished our day at the Bushmills Distillery.

Between Day 2 and 3, our ship the Azamara Quest moved to Greencastle near Londonderry. Michael picked us up there and gave us a breathtaking tour of North Donegal. We visited Grianan of Aileach (8th c. stone fort), Fort Dunree, Gap of Mamore, and my favorite place of the trip, Malin Head. We ate lunch at Farren’s B, Ireland’s northern most pub. The views from Malin Head were spectacular! We finished our day at Tremone Bay beach and then Moville.

Throughout all 3 days, Michael shared stories and history of his country. He gave us a very objective view of the recent history of Northern Ireland, and we appreciated his insight.

We cannot recommend Michael enough as a guide. All 8 of us agreed he helped make our vacation unforgettable.

If you want a great tour guide and find yourself in Belfast, you would be hard pressed to find one better then Mick. We had one day in the area and wanted to see the countryside. We got that and much more. Mick is a real gentleman and ultimate professional. He grew up in the area so you get a very personal and passionate touch. Van is new and very comfortable. His price for 4 hours was 350 pounds. Well worth it considering he spent an extra 90 minutes with us! Contact Mick if you plan to be in this amazing city.

We had an amazing day out with Mick! He is a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable about the area's history, politics, and scenery. There were 6 of us, and we took a tour leaving from our hotel in Belfast. We made a quick stop at a peace wall on our way out of town, then saw the caves at Cushendun, walked over the Carrick-a-Rede bridge, ate at the Fullerton Arms (which has the replica of the Iron Throne), stopped in at Bushmills Distillery (a last minute addition), spent a while at Giant's Causeway, then had quick photo stops at Dunluce Castle and Dark Hedges on the way back to Belfast.

Mick's website is very easy to navigate, and communicating with him in advance via email was easy and efficient. If we return to Belfast, we would definitely book with Mick again!
