We had a wonderful day at Mendip Activity Centre. The highlight of the day was the half-hour tobogganing session — so much fun for both the little ones and the adults! It brought back childhood memories, and we all couldn’t stop laughing. After that we gathered around the fire in the forest to roast marshmallows, which we paired with chocolate biscuits— such a treat for everyone. We also enjoyed delicious hot chocolate, making the experience even cosier. The food for the kids at the Alpine Lodge was fantastic, and the staff throughout the day were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you! We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it for a fun and memorable day out!

We had a fantastic time axe throwing at Mendip Activity Centre today! The whole family joined in, and it was such a fun and experience for all of us. Our instructor, Joe, was amazing—he was patient, encouraging, and made the session super enjoyable. He gave us great tips to improve our technique, and by the end, even the kids were hitting the targets.....sometimes!

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and the setup was perfect for families. We all left with big smiles and plenty of great memories. Highly recommend this activity for anyone looking for something a little different. Thanks, Joe, and the Mendip team! We’ll definitely be back, as we have lots of credit left on our vouchers!

Lovely day out. Used the tobogganing slope and kids were thoroughly entertained. Steep slope walking up to slide down so wear comfy shoes and bring a water bottle

We attended Mendip Activity Centre as a family on 1st March. We booked for axe throwing and tobogganing.
Plenty of parking when we arrived, booking in was simple.
Axe throwing- we had instructor John and he was absolutely brilliant! John was professional, fun and really knowledgeable, who knew that there was so much more to axe throwing than just throwing it! Our 1.5 hours went so quickly and John kept all of us engaged the whole time! You were great thanks again!
Tobogganing- super fun for the 7 of us aged between 7-47!
We will definitely be returning!

Bought as a Christmas gift for my partner and our son. They both absolutely loved it! The staff member Joe was highly praised too. I am so chuffed I paid for this in the sale but it sounded like even at full price it would have been worth it due to their total enjoyment! Many thanks!

We have camped at Basecamp twice now and both times had a really good time. We took our two children (5 months and 5 years old). There are lots of free activities during the summer holidays, along with the large sandpit and small play area. There are also paid activities which are brilliant for a range of ages. You can buy everything you need on site which makes it easy for camping. We will definitely be back again!

Did air rifle today with instructor Dave, he was so entertaining and helpful, was fantastic for my sons birthday. Definitely will do again.
Also did tobogganing over Christmas was so much fun and the staff were so lovely. It was such a wonderful experience.

Really impressed with my “Try ski” session yesterday - the guy (sorry I’ve forgotten his name!) clearly knew his stuff and explained everything really well. I was quite nervous and he made it a very relaxed first experience of skiing!
