Bed in room 2 is a bit small otherwise it was great

Beautiful location. Food in The Cave was excellent, probably the best burger I've ever had, as was breakfast in the Pineapple Dining Room. The room in the Stables was good value for the price although the heat was turned off when I arrived and I never was able to use the shower as the temperature would switch back and forth from hot to cold, which I reported when I checked out. The staff was exceedingly gracious at every contact point. Beware of the 6-8 inch step down leaving The Cave. The area was dimly lit with no visible yellow strips on the edge of step or the floor below. I took a very hard fall which did impair my abilities to fully enjoy the rest of the trip due to pain and stiffness and was lucky the injuries were not more serious. I inferred from comments I overheard that there had been other falls there as well. Remedial action should be taken immediately to correct this hazard.
