The shuttle is a fantastic service run by enthusiastic volunteers. The boat is kept in immaculate condition and runs on electric so gives a really peaceful and tranquil glide down the canal to and from Standedge. You can check running season and times on their website or just click the link on Google maps. I think they usually start at 11am until 4pm at weekends and school holidays. There is a donations box on the boat or you can use a card machine to make donations. There is no donation recommendation but we gave £10 for two of us to go there and then back later in the day, which seemed reasonable. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Thanks to the team for the experience, my lad really enjoyed it.

Lovely ride along a beautiful stretch of canal from Marsden to the Standedge tunnel entrance. The electric canal boat is so quiet and it’s lovely to see the plants and trees as you float along. The volunteer staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it’s great to support this charity.
