This trip is well worth it,
£64 pounds for 3 adults and a child. 90 minutes total, very informative if others would shut up or speak quietly enough to hear safety briefing and or points of interest. Couldn't get on top deck but was able to get on top deck on return journey when others disembarked on incholm island. On board bar shop very reasonably priced with 2 coffees and a tea coming in at 6.40.a brilliant morning with fantastic weather. The ability to photograph all three iconic bridges was great. There are also toilet facilities on board also which is an added bonus.

This was a fabulous cruise over to Inchcolm Island. Lots of interesting information over the speakers on the way to and from the Island. 1 and a half hours at the island is a good amount of time to be able to explore as well as sit and enjoy the scenery.
Really enjoyed also cruising underneath the 3 bridges on the way back. We even got to see a couple of puffins as well as a lot of other birds.

Once we had come to terms with the Forth bridge being situated at the Firth of Forth and not at the end of Princes Street, we made our way there. It was a typically sunny Scottish April day with barely a cloud in the sky. Beeheeyoutifull! So to the boat and the inconvenience of having to travel 4 miles down the Forth to get to the remote retreat of the monks of Inchcolm Abbey. And then to find it home to literally hundreds of blooming sea birds. Near the mouth of the estuary, where it joins the sea. Who would credit it? Anyway, enough moanithology; we pottered round the island, admiring the superbly preserved abbey buildings, marvelling at just how much of it remains some 900 years after the oldest bits were built. We sat and listened to the water gently lapping over the rocks, explored the atmospheric first and second world war military facilities, then after a couple of very enjoyable hours, rejoined our hosts on the Maid of the Forth for the return trip to South Queensferry, via to the two road bridges and the rail bridge again (under, not on, you understand) and a basking seal. Wonderful! Thank you for an unforgettable day out.

The sailing experience was really great! Crews are friendly and polite and will assist you whatever you need. There are some snacks on board from which you can buy. Hopefully the speaker ( i think it is recorded) which guides / gives information can be a bit more louder though it is clear. Overall experience we truly enjoy it! Thank you for the experience! Hope we can come back in the future. Cheers!

Great day out with the kids as always!
Took a trip with friends who'd never been on the Maid before in the Easter holidays and we all had a great time. Scott and the crew were friendly and knowledgeable about all the sights on the trip up to Inchcolm Island. We landed and spent 90 minutes exploring the island, the abbey and the kids played on the beach.
Highly recommended.

The crew were friendly and helpful. Commentary on the boat was very informative.
It's worth doing the 3 hour trip to visit Inchcolm Island, beware of low flying gulls protecting their young 😀
